I was expecting Delve... Alva temple and again no endgame is no look promising at least for me.
Last league i was Group SSF with friends and we have fun because we play a lot and play in HC, but this look like little changes, i was expecting more.
I wish im wrong, maybe i try it and i like it (the performance changes if they work are a good thing), but it looks like a possible skip at least for me.
You do know that this is a beta? You know the process of using your working engine and mechanics to try and test different things, find bugs, increase content, optimize gameplay, and reduce hardware requirements by optimizing the code? This is LITERALLY what the beta is for. They already said that they are working on a lot of content that didn't make it into 0.4.0 and will be shown in 0.5.0. You don't need to play every league and can just skip one if you don't like it; no harm done.
When I compare PoE2 0.1.0 to releases of, say, WoW: WOD, PoE2 had a magnificent start with a lot fewer bugs and connectivity problems than a full release of a AAA Blizzard game...
It is not a Beta. It is a paid early access for which they are already full speed ahead selling MTX and giving each minor update league names. It is a full release in all but version number and number of acts only. Chances are very good that 40% reduction in mobs is Not going to make the game more fun or increase the variety or progression of loot.
I agree with you, it's not a beta, it's EA and they should gradually fix the game, optimize it, add new content after players report it, but GGG treats these versions as a full-fledged game, releases leagues and leagues are released in full version, version 0.3 had so many bugs and look how many hotfixes they released? It's sad when the game is in EA mode and they release only 2-3 hotfixes in 4 months. Until GGG has more teams that will work separately on PO1 and PO2, they will never be able to reach the quality of this game, because one team has to work on 2 games (POE1/POE2) at the same time, that's why they don't have time to release the final version by March 2026 and I don't believe they will have time to release the final version by the end of 2026.
The league as GGG calls it 0.4 will not be better than 0.3, this is my opinion and druid will definitely not save it.
I've been playing POE2 since the beginning of the 0.1 release and in 12 months, they haven't been able to optimize the game for multiplatform.
You can start hating me, but unfortunately, it's true, if POE2 is in EA mode, the developers from GGG have to actively work on this game and often fix problems in a given version.

They could have limit the homo effect up to tier 3 or tier 2 affix -and all would be fine, world drops would be sought after but crafting would still be a viable and useful option.
With current gamble on both tablets and gear im out after 2k of hours.
What again i see as wrong strategy is that holydays are near and plenty more time is here to sink in a game but i guess i will find other way how to spend it.
in patch notes there are some really useles tablet mods where time was wasted in, like increased chance to get essence ,strongbox or whatever else,, when in the same time there are tablets which guarantee to get,, Increased chance will not spawn additional so it just a mod which leads to nowhere.
4 mods on tablets are poor design since instead of guaranteed % and desired mod we get one more RNG slot machine.
4 mods with range which will always navigate to the middle and most likely by weight the undesirable ones will be much more common.
i can already see 4 mods tablet with
-gold find
-magical monsters
-2x increased chance to get

GGG cooking hot again ... no league landing page ready for reveal stream, or post reveal stream?
Patch Notes note that they will be published 3 hours later?
feels bad. GGG unable to spin two plates. Both fans being let down.
Sure, that's why the playercount will, yet again, be over 100k.
sure for the first week then it will die down and another week after that it will be 50% of the people remaining. this content is dog**** ggg is far from cooking. they dont deliver on promises. they literally remove fun from the game. they nerf everything under the guise of its what the people want. no one wanted distilling removed from the game just a more convenient way to instill those emotions on a map. we want more streamline not removal. there are now zero sources of quant in the game. removed the 10% on tablets, removed high % deli, last league they removed quant rolls from maps altogether. theyre a major disappointment. they keep taking 1 step forward and 3 steps backwards. i guess chris wilson was the man that kept the game good cause once he left they just started completely destroying all fun about both games.

You don't seem to understand how leagues work. Especially in an EA game.

QoL suggestion:
When I use show all gems in support gem menu, a lot of the times I cut a support gem which does not work with my current skill gem I want to test stuff on.
Please add a pop up menu showing me what skill gems are compatible with the support gem I have my mouse on.
there is a popup that shows you if the gem is compatible with the skills you have socketed. it will either show a red X or a green checkmark

Personal Attacks Are Not Justified
There’s one point I really want to address. Every now and then, individual members of the community – especially Jonathan and Mark, but most notably Jonathan – become the target of personal attacks. I want to clearly state that this kind of behavior is completely inappropriate and entirely unjustified.
Jonathan consistently appears in community talks and Q&A sessions as an incredibly friendly and helpful person. He takes the time to answer our questions, address our concerns, and often goes far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. This openness and willingness to engage is not something we should take for granted — it’s a sign of respect toward the community.
Thank You for Your Effort and Transparency!
My thanks go out to Jonathan, Mark, and the entire development team. It’s genuinely commendable how they repeatedly show up for community talks, take in our criticism, and respond transparently to our questions. Especially in a time where many studios allow little to no feedback, this level of interaction is a huge strength of Path of Exile.
Let’s use the upcoming league as an opportunity to enjoy the game together, share our passion for Path of Exile, and do so with respect and appreciation for the people who make it possible.
Regarding the League Itself:
• 40% less monster density: I’m not sure yet how this will feel in practice, but we’ll find out very soon. And if it turns out poorly, I’m confident GGG will take steps to address it.
• No new Ascendancy: We’re getting a new class with two new Ascendancies. Most players haven’t even tried half of the existing ones yet.
• Controller / Mouse switching: This doesn’t affect me personally, but based on the posts here it’s clearly important. I hope it will be resolved soon for everyone who relies on it.
• Endgame: We’re keeping the Abyss mechanic including its Atlas tree branch, and we’re getting the Vaal content including the Temple. Even if I was hoping for more changes, there’s still more than enough to keep us engaged.
A common question is whether supporting two seasonal games at the same time is a good idea. For players who play both extensively, it may feel like a lot, and some worry that both games might suffer because of it.
Personally, I’d love to see more development time go into PoE 2, but I can understand why GGG – and a portion of the community – want to continue evolving PoE 1 as well.
But let’s be real for a moment: the amount of content we get every league is more than fair for what we pay.
Overall, I’m genuinely excited for the league, and I hope that those who still have concerns will give it a fair chance.
See you in Wraeclast, Exile!

I completely agree. I haven't seen many game developers talking one-on-one with gamers/creating content in recent years, and answering questions from the community.
I've been playing EA since day one, and I actually see an upward trend in my own development. But I'll be honest, I'm not a real endgame grinder. I reach endgame level 97/98, and in between, I help others with their campaign boss kills and ASN.

JFC, I am tired of all the shade being thrown at PoE2 / GGG for not doing EXACTLY what everyone thinks they should be doing right now in EA. I'm not one to usually post on forums or reply to all the keyboard warriors out there but it seems to me that not enough people remember who saved us from the nightmare of a dumpster-fire letdown that D3 was and what it was like to play PoE1 on EA release! Who remembers not having any end game AT ALL and doing ledge or dock runs to grind levels when there was only a few acts in the game just to experience all we could from a game obviously being made from a company that understood what we actually wanted and needed from this genre of game?!!!
Seems easy for people to sit back and criticize every single thing that isn't immediately being brought to fruition in PoE2 EA the way they want, but rarely see anybody pointing out how much GGG has done to give us an amazing experience over the past decade+. Not to mention the fact that PoE1 has ALWAYS been free to play with no pay to win & the $30 price point to enjoy the early access period of PoE2 is nominal in relation to how much content there is while GGG is consistently striving to meet as many rational expectations as possible.
So for the crybabies in the forum here it is...
- You want a faster play-style than what PoE2 offers? Then go play PoE1 and zoom zoom your heart out but quit crying about PoE2 not being the SAME EXACT GAME! GGG doesn't want PoE2 to be as fast as PoE1 so get over it.
- You want a game that doesn't present difficulty challenges / thresholds which require you to use your brain in order to constantly theory craft on how to make your character's build excel, don't like learning critical game mechanics, or maybe the thought of using multiple skills in conjunction with one another is just too much? Then go play something more casual and quit trying to turn Path of Exile into a shallow ARPG! Pretty sure blizzard has you covered there...
And as for some of the 0.4.0 content contention around here:
- Gotta say, I'm loving all the "looks like this one's a skip" posts. I mean, if you aren't feeling the druid character or Fate of the Vaal mechanic then okay. Everything is subjective and just because it looks fun to me doesn't mean it needs to look fun to everyone else but I would say that your experience playing the content could be exponentially different than what your expectations are just from what you have been shown so far. So maybe give it a shot before being so fast to judge just from what you have seen. Also, a large majority of the point of doing EA is for GGG to get feedback from the players on the rollout of new content. So, don't be talking crap later on about content from this patch you don't like when you didn't play it & can't provide feedback on it.
- Need a tissue because you are soaked to the bone from the tears for fear of losing an item on the new %50 chance double corruption mechanic. Well, I don't have one for you so I guess you are SoL. Or maybe you just don't use that mechanic if you are the type of person that is too scared to take a risk such as this in a video game. But, we call this risking the biscuit my friends. The crafting system in this game is sooooo deep and fun but in order to really get those top tier hits you gotta risk it sometimes. We call this FUN!! Is it gonna be tilting when you flip tails and lose that item... No doubt about it! But when you flip heads and hit that double corrupt mod for the OP item either for your build or for trade it's gonna feel GOOD BABY! I personally can't wait for more crafting mechanics!
This is way too long but I'll end with this. If you think games as deep and complex as PoE1 & PoE2 are easy to continually push out content for and keep the game balanced with constant content additions and updates such as character additions, always changing massive passive trees, an absolutely massive selection of ever changing skill gems, ect... Think again. Seems easy for people to throw shade but you might not be so hasty if you knew the gravity of what it actually takes and the domino effect that is the result of even slight changes in a game like this. GGG seems like a solid company that legit cares to at least some extent about us as their community which has become more and more rare in the modern age of video games. I truly think the glass is half full (or more) in regards to PoE2 so far and I think GGG has been doing a bang up job for us so far. I am excited about what I have experienced so far and can't wait for the 0.4.0 content and beyond.
Now let it rain down on me you haterade drinkers lol!
I totally igree with you man. I play sinds the first day 0.1 and i see only poe 2 growing upwards. And every League i play it longer. That means i like it more and more. And befor i judge 0.4 i play it first before i gonna judge. :)
