I had tons of fun in Abyss HC with LA Deadeye. What is wrong about that fun?

I'm a player who is not super smart but had tons of fun struggling and eventually succeeding in Abyss HC with LA Deadeye. Why does everyone hate that?

All these players posting hate for a fun build that makes people happy is bizarre to me.

You aren't allowed to have fun because your fun isn't the same type of fun for others so you must be wrong and you're not allowed to have fun

I don't think players dislike Lightning bow. It's the complete lack of good alternatives.

I've made two Deadeye builds. One Lightning Arrow + Rods. Bored the hell out of me. The other was a arrow spin Spiral Volley. Not that exciting either and still had to use lightning for bosses.

When I saw Detonating Arrow this league I just laughed. It was so out of place.

It's GGG way of running a live-service game that is supposed to be "played forever".

They deliberately shake up the meta every league so that the players don't get burned out from playing the same builds league after league.

To do that, they will quadruple nerf top 3-5 builds and randomly buff terrible stuff into god tier stuff.

It's sometimes good, sometimes bad. I still miss my 3.12 Redemption Sentries build </3.

Anyway, get used to it if you're into PoE. No build is safe for 2 leagues.

the forum is full of these because some people cant stand it when others are having fun

Yeah, these are the same "we want slow and combo gameplay, muh meaningful" idiots whom are clamoring for an watered down dark souls cosplay, because they think that will make the game "hard".

Like there's anything hard in this game lol.

i dont think most of them even play the endgame. they just love the campaign

You hit the nail on the head.

They don't want to see people having fun with deadeye while they are suffering with everything else is the thing.

Yes it is crabs in a barrel mentality but that is people for you.

Why do you care OP? GGG have already been very resilient to bopping this one on the head despite its balance implications yeah they toned it down a little but I still feel like we'll see 30% deadeye a week in.

People whining about it shouldn't change how you enjoy playing the game though you should also keep perspective that one of the reasons you likely enjoy it is it outperforms its peers. Rotating this is a business strategy for GGG and it works.
