POE2 is the only ARPG game that has defenses just for decoration!

+1 to this simple mechanic. Complex combinations just to block damage are a disaster + the differences between every ten percentage points are minimal.

I remember seeing the prototype character sheet with items they posted a long while back. I looked at the boots, saw movement speed and was sad. Another design they still don't get.

They needed to normalize movement speed and get rid of it as a gear roll. It should be a result of skill animations. I was making fun of Escape Shot in 0.1 because my Deadeye could simply move away faster and further than the skill which made it entirely pointless. Meanwhile something like Rake + Disengage 'almost' works. Least it works enough to take a few extra steps then Blood Hunt.

True. A fashion game!

GGG allow immunity to all type of damage or put caps to DPS. Enough with unfair rules.
Buff Armour and Evasion. Trash defensive system of all times. People prefer investing always in DPS over Defensive builds.
This might just be solved with more options being added over time but I agree we need more defensive power.

It's not solved with more defenses over time. Just check my SSF characters. They are all stacking multiple defensive layers in PoE, max block, high evasion, spell supp, leech, life on block, spell block, recoup, life.

GGG has no clue how their own defensives work, neither in PoE nor in PoE2. It will be just worse when they add more

Indeed but Devs neet to make the actual count on every percentage. Right now wether you have 70% or 90% is the same to Bosses. Mechanism sucks in all meanings.
Yeah, it doesn't feel good the way they have it designed. Instead of feeling earned or your own mistake, dying mostly feels cheap, like you were cheated. It's wild that at times you can't figure out what even killed you or why.
