Why are most, if not all, of the kiss/curse nodes on the warrior side of the tree?

Feels like casters and ranged get only benefits while warrior has to deal with kiss/curse nodes at pretty much every node?
Example: Yes, you can get more damage, but you lose attack speed. While casters and rangers get free damage, movement speed, and attack speed with no downsides... Just another example of GGG's anti-melee tendencies. Last bumped10 дек. 2025 г., 07:40:32

these nodes lowering your attack speed are justified if you use skills like perfect strike which requires precise timing to do max damage
the lower your speed, the bigger is the timeframe where you can hit the perfect damage if you do not lower your speed, using supports like window of opportunity of perfection becomes much harder, but they are dex gems... i understand these nodes as a way for a warrior to get more consistent timed attacks without investing much in dexterity, especially at leveling stage and you can optimize for other skills using the alternate tree |

" Nice, so you think the entire bottom left side of the tree was tailored for perfect strike interactions. Makes sense why these forums give me a headache sometimes. Its made this way to hold the vision of a completely fresh act 1 warrior run on league start. If the entire game was paced like a1 fresh warrior then the bottom left wouldnt feel so bad. Its when you get to endgame and are planning on killing 3 million monsters that being slower is exponentially worse. |

" Perfect strike is an Act 1 only skill lol Nobody uses that garbage after that. Designing a system to make one trash skill marginally better is not good game design. |

i forgot to say that i do not agree with this design either i am just making you guys understand want another example? resonating shield if your attack speed is too high, the mana consumption makes it unusable lowering the speed makes it viable and...it works, this skill is pretty good for clearing and debuffing if you do not agree with it, fine but these are the reasons just admit you don't want rotations and simply want to smash everything with 1 button well, you can't have that period Последняя редакция: Dragoon_Diver#5241. They were asked by Tri about this. Their reply was they like the nodes and plan on having these nodes in the other sections of the tree in the future.
I think it is a big mistake. People don't like these nodes, they feel terrible. I hope they reconsider this and go the opposite direction. Simply remove the negative from the existing nodes so the Warrior side of the tree has more nodes to look forward to moving towards while leveling. Последняя редакция: FruitLord#0833. " then you never really played a good warrior build, idk what else i could say to you 0.2.0 smith shield charger had better clearspeed than most of ranged skills it was this broken to the point that GGG nerfed it to the ground a point that i concede is arena bosses' fight where they give a monologue that gives time for ranged builds to create a deadly ground and blast them, but if they didn't have this advantage, deadeye or witchhunter would be totally shit what i am trying to tell you is: warrior skills are not that dependent of action speed, many are sustained and/or channel skills with a delay which ignores your attack speed the damage propagates instantly with a big area or a big ignite magnitude, another thing independent of attack speed movement speed and cooldown recovery are more important, attack speed comes after |

Who wants a rotation in a game where you kill multiple millions of monsters a league.
If you're the kind of player that hits lvl 80 and quits this is fine. If you are going to grind this game for 2 months until poe1 launches again then having to use a rotation is incredibly exhausting. Its not about wanting 1 button builds. If you think people don't want relaxing ergonomic builds to kill millions of monsters then explain to me why people play righteous fire in poe1 when the single target is rough without a lot of gear. If ggg didn't want people to be able to play 1 button builds then why is deadeye/ranger/lightning arrow still so broken. Resonating shield is stupid, shield wall is stupid, shield charge as a clear skill is stupid. They really messed up launching warrior/maces instead of marauder/axes. then keep feeding ranged ascendancies instead of adding axes/swords. Instead of adding smith it would have been a lot better to add another melee weapon type. After 1 league they absolutely murdered smith. meanwhile lightning arrow. |
