Please don't "release" the game to "1.0" ....

without actually having all classes, ascendancy, weapon types, and acts ready.

Otherwise, it's just "open beta" at that point. If it's not ready to release, don't release it. Just keep cooking and let it simmer until it's done, please don't kneecap yourself to reach arbitrary deadlines that you put there yourself.

Game was already released, its not open beta.

It's not released, it's in paid beta access.

dont see any problem if GGG decides to release the game after this league. Game is already at very playable state. Everything is still the same for you whether GGG release or not. So whats the issue?

I mean technically it's in early access but this schedule cycle they do is no different in feeling to how it will be when released.

Like every other game, POE2 was released early to fund future development to fix and flesh it out through patches and DLCs. No business wants to bankroll a game for 2 extra years to release a 'complete' game when they can start getting return on investment now.

At least we get 3 scheduled DLCs each year included in the purchase price. At $30 bucks, it is a bargain.

And when sales start dropping off it will go Free-to-Play in a year or two.

Only thing different is GGG already had an aging Free-to-Play game so had to do some creative "Early Access" marketing to get their established customer base to accept the standard new game marketing model.

Don't know why you guys are trying to white knight and pretend like releasing an unfinished game is okay in any regard.

If the game's not finished, don't release it.

O NO my free game won't have everything at release.... PS it's a live service game, it's never finished. The first one only released with 3 acts. Polishing what we do have is more important than adding more stuff to the needs work pile
