Naaaaaah. The reason we look back so fondly on D2 is because it was consistently in the top 5 most addictive gameplay loops for years. I don't even remember it HAVING cinematics, but I sure remember the farming and the Javezon and the Cube and the system-crashing Necromancer shenanigans. Gameplay will always trump cinematics. If you (royal you, not you personally) care that much about cinematics, then watch a movie, if you want to play a game, find a game with good gameplay.

all you do with poe2, is watch animations finish and dodge roll.
d4 added a great campaign and always do cinematics but the game was dead and hollow after that.
cost time and money to do cinematics.

Uh... I never said that PoE doesn't have better gameplay. In fact I made no statements about PoE whatsoever. What if... what if we take the budget that would go into the trailer and instead hire more people who would work on the game?
What if instead of a fancy trailer, we got something with actual substance?
