Same issue here, i have a 67 druid who is fine, i wanted to make another one to play wolf...
Xharkis is stuck at DEADLOCK DETECTED when entering clearfell. I feel like the zone is bugged. I tried recreating other character, nothing do. It doesn't work, deadlock... |

" Plenty of stuff is DB locked or synced, like your tabs. If they weren't this game would be a cheating nightmare. However, my assumption is those deadlocks are related to mutexes required by multithreading. Postgres just happen to use the same functionality. I've had the same issue on my druid which was logged out in Clearfell, removed the files and changed from vulkan to dx12 but the error popped up again.
My partner suggested loading into hideout which I was able to do on a different character. I swapped back to the druid and it's loaded in fine with no errors in the last 15 mins or so. This was situated in Clearfell, moving to Ogham Manor was fine. Left all the other changes as is. |

Just for the Record, I only got this error when I swap between directx12 and vulkan to temporary fix the new texture glitch, It does not happens always tho. Besides that the game runs ok.

are yall playing this on steam? this game is not optimised for anything other than the standalone game (and no there is no ubisoft launcher bloatware included), get standalone client and watch the game patch/update 10gig/second, no exaggeration.

happened 2 times to me... randomly. started strongly since 0.4 patch

Hi, I was looking into your problem since I have a similar kind of issue with crashes in 0.4. I noticed that they started 14th of Dec for me and started happening every 0.5-1 hour. I was using Direct X 12. Today I tried to solve the issue by switching to Vulkan, but now it takes forever to get through any loading screen (approx 10 minutes to game and in game per loading screen) and it doesn't render everything so it is unplayable. Whenever I try to switch back from Vulkan to Dx12 I get "Deadlock detected" -error message and everything crashes. Hopefully there will be a fix to this soon.
I was thinking of deleting the shader caches but since I cant switch back to Dx12 I'm not sure if I should (can't really understand if deleting them does some kind of harm). My specs: RX 7900 GRE 5700X3D |

You can use poe2 Crasher ... i just tried this and it working for the deadlock Error :)
https://github.com/Kapps/PoEUncrasher is used it at the start when poe2 as luanch, beaccause a lot guy crashed and me too. why this Error IDK now i didnt have the Error on steam, but i have this on epic game client ... magic XD... good game :) |

Just got this 3x times in a row...
PoE1 nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
