Textures don't load
|
+, I don't know why this is happening, my PC isn't weak, SSD is new, tried deleting the cache folder, switched between DX12 and Vulkan - nothing helps. This didn't even happen in previous leagues and I've never seen anything like this in any games.

You know what, I'm quitting this league, and probably POE for good. It has been taking too long to fix the texture and crash issue. So long

I had to roll back my AMD drivers to the 25.10.1 to get the crashing to stop. This worked so far. I also switched to DX12, and I'm not having any issues in Kingsmarch or beyond.
XFX RX 7900 XTX AMD Ryzen 9800 X3D 32MB Memory The only thing I don't like is having to run off of outdated drivers for my GPU. I hope they fix that issue or announce when we should be good to roll to the new drivers. |

How I fixed the textures not loading issue in PoE2 (latest patch)
Like many other players, after the latest PoE2 patch I started having a serious issue where textures, icons, and effects simply wouldn’t load, especially on a low-end PC. No matter how long I waited, the game stayed blurry and muddy, and every time I entered a new zone, everything broke again. At first I thought it was a VRAM or performance issue, but after testing, I found a solution that completely fixed it for me. 1 Forcing texture quality to High via the config file For some reason, the in-game settings wouldn’t let me change texture quality. It was permanently stuck on Medium, with no option to increase it. So what I did was: Go to the PoE2 config file (poe2config.ini – it’s just a text file) Open it with Notepad Manually change the texture quality setting to High Save the file and launch the game After doing this, textures started loading properly again. It seems counter-intuitive, but forcing High textures actually prevents the streaming system from failing and leaving everything unloaded. 2 NVIDIA Control Panel settings (important) On top of that, I also added a specific NVIDIA Control Panel configuration for Path of Exile 2, which helped stabilize texture loading and prevent aggressive downscaling. In the NVIDIA Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings, I selected Path of Exile 2 and kept the following logic in mind: Texture filtering – Quality: set to Quality → This avoids overly aggressive texture optimizations that can break streaming. Texture filtering – Trilinear Optimization: Enabled → Improves performance without hurting texture stability. Texture filtering – Anisotropic Sample Optimization: Disabled → Prevents loss of texture detail at angles. Texture filtering – Negative LOD Bias: Allow → Helps sharper textures without forcing driver-side clamping. Anisotropic Filtering: Application-controlled → Lets the game handle it properly instead of the driver overriding it. CUDA – GPUs: All → Ensures PoE2 fully uses the GPU. Everything else I left on global defaults, without forcing weird overrides. Results : Forcing High textures in the config file Applying a clean, non-aggressive NVIDIA profile The game stopped turning into mud every time I entered a new zone. Textures load correctly, icons are visible, and the game is actually playable again. If you’re stuck with textures not loading and your settings seem locked or ignored in-game, this is 100% worth trying. It fixed the issue completely on my end. | |

"Go to the PoE2 config file (poe2config.ini – it’s just a text file)
Open it with Notepad Manually change the texture quality setting to High" This actually did the trick. For some reason my ingame settings for textures was showing high already but when I opened the config.ini it was set to Low. I just wrote High in the end started the game. When my VRAM reached its peak some textures started to glich for a bit but then they were working fine shortly after. My entire game no longer turns into potato now. Thanks alot man. Altho vram usage is extremly high after this patch which was not the case prior 0.4. They definetly need to address this. |
