New Meta .... Same as the Old Meta. Lightning Arrow Deadeye

I started playing the druid and rolled at least 4 of them. I slogged their way through Act 1. But then I thought lets just get it through king of the mists. I tried the bear form, clearly the best. Wolf form has some interesting synergies. But all of them were a slog. I died about 5 times with wolf form being too aggressive with a boss or yellow. I died only 2 times with bear form but they were to be expected and I was a little too careless. But the druid class is a pretty big slog. The tree puts all sorts of things first but if you want to focus on shapeshifting ... well that will take you a while to bring online.
Anyway, all said and done I was tired, I had played 4 druids through KOM and sort of got to know them. Then I wondered what did they do with ranger, lightning arrow? So I rolled a ranger. Beria went down in 12 seconds. Rust king in 30 seconds. I was able to get to grim tangle in 22 minutes. Everything just dies. Fire 4 lightning rods, follow up with lighting arrow. I noticed they increased the mana a bit, no problem, chug bottles. Destroy everything. In bear form if you are hitting 10 enemies it takes time to kill them and they are in point blank range. Lightning Arrow and Rod? Nah spam in from a ways away and watch lighting arc around killing a pack of 20. Wolf form on Rust King? Rough. On Deadeye, well if you were afk you might die. The new meta is the same as the only. Nothing has changed. GGG has a lightning problem. So either all the other classes are underpowered and should be able to do this or they want all the classes to slog that slow and they need to adjust ranger. Nothing has changed. My gas arrow skeletal sniper just drops bosses in seconds. I'll never play deadeye.

spark/orb infusion also 1 shots bosses and trash mobs.
there are enough another builds than deadeye. just try it, learn it. be better. |

" Ehh sure ... and 3 weeks from now when POE.ninja has 80% playing LA Deadeye will I get a "Hmm looks like you were right" from you? I doubt it. Its not about what playstyles CAN be played. Sure you can slog through the campaign in warewolf form. You can slog through it as Chayula. neither of those are actually good. And I seriously doubt you are in maps already. Though if you are playing a lightning build maybe you are. |

" I dont really know what the issue is except lightning itself is a badly designed damage type. It causes a status that directly magnifies that damage type. They probably intended it to be used to magnify other damage types but its much less efficient than just using straight lightning and magnifying both damage types at once. This is also why sorceress spark is playable as well. |

Druid plays very well, at least in (early) campaign. Shapeshifting is basically online from the very beginning. I only played Wolf and I absolutely blasted through campaign so far. Bosses were also quite trivial. If it's a "slog" then you either did something very wrong, or you played very bad. The shapeshifting forms are melee though, so it'll be a bit harder in the sense that you actually have to pay attention more and dodge etc. Melee is a lot more prone to get hit and die during the early game, especially for "bad" players. That's just the nature of having to get close for combat. And it's just been like 24 hours since release. It is absolutely impossible to talk about "the meta being the same", there's just not really any meaningful data for that. edit: In fact, poe.ninja even shows only 4% Deadeye so far. Which still doesn't say aynthing cause it's only been 24 hours and most people haven't gotten through the campaign yet. But even if you wanted to make up data for your' claim, you couldn't, lol. One big problem for melee is armoured monsters. To give melee "live the fantasy" they make you do combos like armour breaker and crap. My wolf was doing decent until getting to the Dreadnaught where everything is armoured. Feels so bad now.

they also did the biggest nerf to minions ever in poe2 by removing about 33-45% reservation we could get in the endgame losing half our minions
