* Why is the currency so far out of whack compared to POE? Why is it nigh impossible to find certain currency?
I really hope they are just holding back on the drops due to juicing that will come in 0.5 with the endgame rework. This must be something they are thinking about.

Sigh. Once again, I don't PREFER a skip, I'd rather had adventure mode or randomized levels a la Diablo III adventure mode that levels me up AS AN OPTION. If I want to go through campaign on league too, cool. Options = everyone wins. Being stubborn and making everyone slog through the same long campaign every league = torture.
So it’s not that you want a skip button really. What you’re essentially asking for is an entirely different mode.
Hey, more power to you for wanting that but in the end of the day this is not D3 and calling the developers stubborn for not making D3 is not the way to go imo. Matter of fact, I don’t even think D3 should be in the discussion of ARPG’s since it’s not really an ARPG. But I digress.

Yes thats what OP is asking for a campaign skip, but that doesnt mean u dont have character progression. The progression u get through campaign is rather minor. I mostly use 2-3 skills during campaign and thats it. There isnt really any progression except changing the occasional equipment item. Which is mostly just the weapon.
I think it depends on the way you play. If you speedrun the campaign, I doubt you’re going to have any meaningful character progression during that time. But if you don’t speedrun it then you’re definitely having meaningful progression. I’m playing it right now.
Having said that, I do think the balance is a bit off and GGG should make it a bit more challenging so it feels more impactful. Especially the early acts.
Anyway, the thing you guys are not saying is if you get a skip button. Would that be enough for you? Would starting at Atlas iat lvl1 be fun?
I think a full skip, like insta level to 80 or whatever to start running maps isn't the answer to be clear. I just think there needs to be options to level up before endgame. The campaign is already a slog. I can't imagine when it's all done. I mean, yes, I definitely want to play all the way through at least once for 1.0 but after that, no thanks.

Thinking of it, ultimately, having more modes that offer different experiences I believe is a win for the game and the players. ARPG’s have always been quite restrictive in that aspect. It requires a very open minded team to effectively explore these opportunities and although I love GGG, I just don’t think they’re very open minded.
More modes=Win.

I think it doesn't have to be an overly complicated additional mode. If you don't want to play the story over and over again, then just jump into maps that are scaled down to story levels.

Exactly this.
I just can't understand or begin to comprehend, why humanity, and especially on the Internet, have such a black/white, all or nothing mentality. Yes, Diablo III sucked in general but the adventure mode was great. No, we aren't saying ditch the campaign entirely, but there are other ways to level and there's already a few ideas suggested here.

I think that’s a very valid take. It’s just that these games like D3 and 4 were so bad that when you see some of those systems executed there it’s an almost natural response to be apprehensive towards them. But if you take a step back and see the big picture then sure, some of those systems could be good in a vacuum. Like adventure mode for example. I could easily see a world where PoE2 had that mode with its own balance, drops, market, etc. Because let’s be real, we are not the same target audience.

I can see it if you completed the campaign atleast once in a league but not right away.
That would require, as you mentioned, a different mode and a split market and with a player driven market I doubt they are eager to split up the player base even more between markets.

Yeah, I see there isn't an easy, perfect answer for this immediately but they should start planning now. Unless I'm missing something, myself and everyone I have read is tired of the campaign and trials for initial progression and it's only 0.4 league. If they truly do 0.5, 0.6, all the way to 1.0, people in general are going to be so tired of the campaign, they may just move onto other games IMHO
