I believe the idea and intention were good, but in practice, basically, The economy, once again, has been doomed.

case in study: 1 from nothing, which in the normal league is 100 ex, in the private new league, with an unbiased economy, is 15 div. Players want to be even more greedy in this private league, so no patch will fix it.

now I more poor then before.

Its like having less than several hundreds of thousands of players has an impact on item availability.

less players, less money in the market so no your vision miss this point and the point is the greediness, have a nice day.
Creating a private league 3-4 weeks into a fresh league that was already struggling for players has completley finished it off and the PL wont last long.

As long as selfish Tri can now buy some divines, Boohoo i didnt run temples and now im poor i know lets make PL LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Alright, so I think the idea of a fresh league is a great concept, but unfortunately , the execution did not do what it set out to, imo.

From what I have been gathering , the private league suffers from many of the same problems as the main league..

People are probably on more equal footing though, so I do see the potential.

for myself and others like me, its unforatunately, not really solving the major issues we had with the main league, and for us it would most likely be better to just stick to the main league, especially now that people are finishing up, prices are starting to come down , or at least there is a lot of generous people out there giving freebies or offering to help in some other way.

I guess I was hoping for an official reset or something, as most of the fears I predicted did come true, the player base is now heavily divided between the Private League and Official league, causing a dwindling of both.

I hope it works out for those who choose to play it, sincerely, I do hope you all get to have fun... Sorry if my previous comments came off harshly.

Im just upset because the last time I played POE was at launch , and it seems like every time I come back to play, there is some major issue that prevents me from fully enjoying it as I had originally hoped for.

I always miss the good leagues like Abyss because they happen during my off phase. ( I cant play poe 365 days a year.. I have too many other games)

I already put all my other games on hold for a month to play POE2 this league.. because it requires all my game time to progress.

Hello, I wanted to ask if you have to pay for the Second Wind Private League? I've been on the waitlist for about three days now. When I signed up, there were 2,500 people in the queue, but now the number of players has increased from 40,000 to 48,000, and I'm still on the waitlist... What's going on?
First time playing a private league, and Second Wind was a complete letdown. I migrated my characters back to the trade league because there was zero benefit to staying. Just greedy players desperate to feel relevant because they can’t compete in trade.

I suppose you expected a PL with a fraction of the player base and thus way lower supply to have a healthier economy than the active league? 😅

I made some comparisons today. A base weapon for the build I'm using, with similar stats, is around 50 ex in the normal league and 2 div in the private league. Many instant swap items are 3x more expensive in the private league. Sorry, I really appreciate the initiative, but tonight I'm going to migrate my character to where I have something, rather than where the more I play, the more I fall behind.

And I don't think it's the organizers' fault, mostly. It's GGG's fault for being so passive with the economic hole, the mismanagement with delays in fixing things, including a mechanic that, if it's the same way in the next league, I won't even want to come back. But it's also the player community's fault. We know we're all greedy to some degree, but this league has revealed true Smaug's who never tire of sitting on piles and piles of divines and mirrors.

again, economy is not just supply and demand also depend on capital. If you ask for the value of an item that doesn't match the available capital, it doesn't make sense.

In comparison, it's like selling a car and asking for a country's GDP as the car's value; you have a point, but it's incomplete. Greed is still what ruins any league the most. I'm even thinking of only playing SF in future leagues so I don't have to worry about these aspects of the game anymore.

You haven't seen that people are already printing divines on the PL exactly the same way they are in the regular league?
PLs have always ended up SSF-lite with everything being way more expensive, unless you're participating in global chat and find some jolly cooperation.
Yet another factor here is that everything in the PL has a value in the regular league, and could be transferred down at any moment. Tbh. One of my bigger fears about a PL this large is the benefit to RMT sellers. I watched the entire first week and there were so many opportunities to buy items for single div or less in the first few days that were 50D+ in regular league. I was even tempted to take my first 10D and turn it into 500D in the regular league.
But yeah, if the economy bothers you that much, you can absolutely play SSF.
People shouldnt feel insecure about private leagues, their caps are so low that it won't ever matter. GGG will never reset a league and the worst/best (depending on your pov) they gonna do is a rollback, that's also why they introduced private leagues. Along with that this only happen because of how bad the current economy is in the current league, otherwise it's a very niche thing that not many are interested in. In the long term there's nothing to worry about.
