Path of Exile 3.28 Expansion Timeline

WHy does every single person in this thread think that this is 5 months? has everyone forgotten how to count to 4 or to look at a calandar?

oct 31 -> nov 30th = 1 month
nov 30th -> dec 31st = 2 month
dec 31st - > jan 31st = 3 months
jan 31st - > feb 28th = 4 months
feb 28ths - > march 6 = 4 months 1 week

Considering feb isnt a full length month, this is easily 4 months + 1/2 a week.

That is not 5 months. Why is eveyrone lying and crying while wailing the words "5 months".

That is completely normal and reasonable and expected. A 12 month calandar is what it is, and this lines up perfectly for 3 leagues in a year (start of march, july, nov).

I have all the hate for poe2 in my heart, I don't like how they are approaching it, I dont like how they let it ruin all sorts of stuff with poe1. but the amount of people who are unable to recognize the most basic fact here is not going to help anyone.


The real problem is they aren't accelerating the timeline, and so we end up with "5-6 weeks of poe1, then 13-4 weeks of poe2". they are forcing christmas release, and so as a result, everything else in the year needs to be in 2 month cycles that include a christmas release. But instead, after they rushed the poe2 league to adjust the calandar for christmas, they aren't doing the same for poe1.

Thats the only problem here. And yet all I see are a bunch of low level rangers without any gear on crying "FIVE MONTHS WAHHHHHH"

this game needs an actual end game change. We all love the atlas and the tree but interacting yet again with the exact same ui doing the same things has been old. That or if this game will ever get a 4.0 to where a lot changes would be amazing and beyond welcomed.

Great to have a rough date, but this can easily end up closer to five months than four given there's no guarantee this is even March 6th. To be a ~four month league, after slipping it would have to be closer to four than five. Which would imply the rough date has to be safely within four months.

Five months is another long league for PoE 1 after a shorter cycle for PoE 2.

this is a prime example, and this guy is being the MOST charitable from the 5 month crowd.

They have uneven length months and they are targeting the 4 month + 1/2 week. Thats exactly what they should be targeting, considering they lost 2 weeks in office to holidays.


Do you want them to lie about it? say late feb when they mean early march?

Even if they delay by 1 week, then its 4 months + 1.5 weeks. How is that closer to 5 months than 4 months? March 6th with a 1 week delay is march 13th. March has 31 days. How is the 13th of march closer to the 31st of march than the 28th of feb? 13 days is bigger than 18 days, therefore, 31st closer to a delayed release and therefore its technically rounded up to a 5 month cycle so we can have something to cry about?


People have to be being purposefully stupid, right? ....right?

Again, they should go earlier, because they need to sync up the poe1 releases with the poe2 releases, because we all know that they will never skip a holiday timed release. so time everything else around that and move poe1 back while we can since we already forced poe2 back for the holiday. That is an argument worth making.

But you guys all waste your breath crying 5 months and you are just wasting space in public discourse and preventing the real issue from being discussed...aka proper 2 month spacing while maintaining christmas release timing.

Half cooking the league and having back to back failures would massively damage path of exile 1's player count, let's not forget that keepers had the lowest player retention in path of exile's history

Thanks for the timeline GGG. I hope you guys can manage to run a PoE1 event (Phrecia ideally, but honestly any zoom event would be fun) prior to the next league.
