The economy has reached a state where casual players have the SSF experience by default

So it's no secret that divine inflation this season is completely out of whack (due to temple exploits and subsequent patches cementing the exploits for the sweats that exploited early)

The prices of anything really is completely wild.
Liquid isolation? 8 divines
Fracturing orb? 15 divines
Essence of Horror? 23 divines
Omen of Whittling? 41 divines
Omen of Light? 26 divines
Ancient Collarbone? 63 divines
Lvl 20 uncut spirit gem? 64 divines

But what about the non-big ticket items?
Runic Splinter? 40 Exalts
Esh's catalyst? 22 Exalts
Neural catalyst? 82 Exalts

Qualitying one Breach ring with mana modifiers therefore costs in the range of 10 divines. An attempt with 150 runic splinters at the Expedition boss costs 18 divines.

Maybe the item situation isn't as dire? Many white bases or blue items with 1 good modifiers go for hundreds of exalts/chaos or multiple divines.

--------

So in effect, if you are just a casual player with idk maybe 2-3 hours playtime every other day you are now effectively playing SSF and are locked out of meaningful participation from trade.
But unfortunately, this game is "balanced" (if you want to call it that) around trade, because you can wait a lifetime for aquiring decent gear from drops or "crafting" via random exalt spamming.

It's really unfortunate that this is the state of the game.

I agree with you. And many like us think it would be better if the Snake Labyrinth couldn't be built.

With 2 to 3 hours a day you can absolutely find a farming tech and earn currency.

I can run decent amount of abyss maps in that time and drop anything between 3 to 8 omens of light. That's between 78 divines and 208 and divines.

Invest few days doing that, amass currency and go do what you want.

This is not to say economy is not bad, but its no worse than any PoE patch ever over a month into the league
There’s no casual playing this game at this time of league.
Exploit early exploit often bozos.

Did you stop to think that if things cost a lot that they also sell for a lot?

Did you stop to think that if things cost a lot that they also sell for a lot? Or do casuals never drop any of the above items and only drop 1 raw div in 10 maps?

Sure. But see for instance the guy above me claims he makes 80-200 divines in 2-3 hours farming abyss. I haven't had a single Omen of Light drop or ancient abyss currencies all season. Idk what I am doing wrong but I have nowhere near that experience.

If I play breach I get maybe 1-2 catalystst every second map or so.

The thing that has worked best for me is farming runic splinters. But in 2-3 hours I get maybe 1 logbook every 2 days.

I really don't know how to improve these numbers.

Edit: and I do not really care about currencies. I just want to be able to quality my mana ring without having to farm for 2 days.

Are you aware of the mechanic to pull Amanamus Void monsters out of their vortex before killing them? It's a hidden tech, which seems way too strong imo, but that's what 100% of my expensive Abyss Omens come from.
I'm not sure I see where it's SSF like... I mean if you just started now sure. However, if you pay attention at all and have been in previous leagues. Well the only "cheap time" in a league is very early. So you need to be there at the start and level as much as you can in the time you have.

I got my first character completely geared pretty cheaply. Oh and yes there are things I bought for 1/2 Divs that just over a week later were over 100 Divs.

Normally I don't craft much. This league I got more into it and took advantage of the "economy" as you can pretty easily craft things that sell for what seems like a lot.

Along with I was farming Abyss from the start simply because I like it. Well those Omen's of Light and a few other things fixed my economy issue for alts/experiment builds.

On the other hand even without something like The Temple... if you can only play a couple hours every few days. Well the economy is always going to be ruined for you. Unless you are really into crafting your own stuff.
Casuals dont care about this
