Does Vaal pact work with the life leech gem?

Hi, made my first char and following this build.
got few questions, atm im using both split arrow and lighting strike as my rmb and lmb attacks, should i change them? im always out of mana too... :/ why should i stop leveling LS at lvl5? (btw it stays on my screen to lvlup... kinda annoying... )

You refer to Lightning Strike - is this what you mean, or do you mean Lightning Arrow? They are different skills and for this build you should be using Lightning Arrow (LA), not Lightning Strike (LS).

The reason you don't level up LA with this build much is that it becomes a very expensive skill mana/life wise, and doesn't really give you much incremental benefit. Many people don't even bother levelling it at all.

Mana will be tight with this build until you get to the point of having enough life, life leech (via gem) and dps to auto-replenish your skill cost every time you hit something. Until then, use mana flasks!

effective combos

elemental hit + weapon elemental dmg + faster attacks + crit multilayer - for bosses, especially if you use diamond flasks

lvl 1 LA + lmp + faster att + wep ele dmg + life gain on hit - if u have 5L

lvl 5 LA + faster att + life gain on hit + wep ele dmg - if you have 4l

you wont have probs with mana once you get BM - you will shoot as much as you hold the button

would it work with fire / poison arrow too?

What do you think of the new Celerity node near the Iron Reflexes one? 8% movement speed seems like a good deal for 2 points.
