Cross-league trading is not allowed between long-term and three-month challenge leagues

Yes, the purpose of different leagues is fresh start. Let RNG decide, come on you know this game is RNG based.

Basically GGG "You've played the game longer and don't deserve to trade your currency to new leagues and now it has to sit around for 4 months."

Good change, there really isn't anything different about trading HC to Nemesis than doing a d2jsp trade.

Its similar to the RMT problem, there are still people who will RMT, but making it against the rules and enforcing said rules certainly cuts down on RMT. It doesn't have to eliminate it completely to make a difference.

I am very excited about this decision, I hope it can enforced somehow, otherwise the shady dudes will still have a massive advantage by doing this anyways.

That's a disappointing decision. My biggest regret thus far in PoE was sacrificing my hardcore position to play onslaught, but I felt obligated to complete the new challenges.

While I understand the logic behind this decision, and I understand that I could simply choose to not partake in the new challenges, this policy will likely result my decision to play a less enjoyable league for 4 months rather than taking a wealth hit and persisting on my long-term character.

It's certainly too early to complain given the new leagues aren't out yet, but the decision is nonetheless concerning.

No, it isn't enforceable. But being unable to advertise for it on the forums or in tradechat, and thus gain reputation for being a reliable cross trader, will certainly cut down on the incidence of it happening. It is a little weird seeing them try to grandfather in the change rather than just banning it outright, though.

I'm sure one of the big reasons that they made this decision is because of the challenges. Now you have to, in theory, work from nothing to get the challenges done, rather than pay from another league to finish them.

Hopefully this is enforceable.
