Hey! I'm planning on switching to this build tomorrow, I've purchased everything for the Shav's + Grace trickster build, though I do have a question or two that I'm hoping to get some help with.

I also saw Purity of Ice being used instead of Grace, and I'm just curious, at what point should I switch to Purity of Ice instead of Grace? and one final question, as a trickster, is it better to use shield charge or whirling blades? I see mention of both so I was slightly confused. Any help is appreciated :) Thanks very much! |

@limonenovecento: If you read the description in RF it says something like 'the effect ends when you have 1 life' and when you go CI you are always on 1 life, so thats why you cannot use CI and RF.
@chronosphage: personally i prefer shieldcharge over whirling blades. It just feels much better, faster, more accurate. I used purity of ice because i wanted to do shaper and because i dont need grace in maps anyway. I never feel like i am in danger during mapping without grace, because my es pool is high enough and because i kill fast enough, so that is why i go purity of ice. But if you are not that tanky, then it might be wiser to use grace. Your tree looks fine, its the same as yalanis i think, but you need shavs ring or else it is too low. And ofcourse you need high enough fire resistance and reduced dot on shield. | |

Hey, wanted to check back in and say that i rly enjoyed the build
played it up to 95 now iam thinking if i should roll something else or invest further into the char kinda tending to keep on going with him any ideas what i could improve? thinking of dying sun but rly hard to swap out another flask, inc quant gem is still very pricey in legacy and getting 30% dot dmg gloves with good stats is kinda hard thinking bout multi modding my gloves keep on looking for a greatwolf talisman with 4% life regen and global defense having 13265 es atm and wanting more! tried optimizing tree as mutch as possible and playing around with path of building Dot dps is close to 400k vs shaper which seems quite far off compared to numbers in ur post thanks in advance greetings gear

Hey,
playing this build since Legacy start. I took the Guardian ascandancy and im pretty satisfied with it. :) Put in around 15Ex and i am a bit disappointed. I'm lvl 91 right now and still dieng a lot. I've a total ES of 10,800 and armor around 10k. Your guard reachd something like 18k ES. I know i can upgrade some gear, but that are only 200-300 flat ES and i realy don't know how you reachd that amount. The damage to clear everything up to t15 (123/126 Atlas) is ok. Did all the Guadians first try, some were easier (Phoenix/Hydra), some 1shotted me (Minotaurus), but all died. :D But i realy struggle with the Shaper, the damage is way too low. I couldn't keep Zana alive and always died, because the area was full of his fields. I put in a lot of affort into this char and my goal was to get over 15k ES and kill Shaper for the first time. But i realy dont know how i can reach that. Hopefuly someone can help me out, so i don' get too frustrated. Money shouldn't be a problem if it is not extremly pricey (>10ex). idea for 2.6 you used 3 skillslots for vaal discipline maybe change that to cwdt and tempest shield gives block chance and can proc ele equilibrium.
(are there better skills for cwdt for this build?:D | |

Déserto:
The biggest things you could get in my opinion, in order of importance: Delirium gloves: even if you lose some base es, it's a huge damage increase. Use a rare shield instead of ROTP, with guardian and your regen talisman you shouldn't have trouble sustaining. Make sure to get Leo craft on it for reduced damage over time. %Es craft on your rings, this could give you 30-35% increased ES presence of chayula amulet, you've got a pretty good talisman, so I'm not even sure this is worth. But it would probably up your ES. | |
