Hey ive tried the build the last days and im feeling not so tanky what could i change

Unless you are one of the few builds that can facetank him, the shaper fight is all about dodging his hightly telegraphed attacks. To make the fight easier, some builds have very high damage to minimise the time they spent dodging, others have high tankyness so they have some room for mistakes.

With 15.8k es RF you belong to the second group and should easily kill him. What you need is simply more practise. In your case it might be a good idea to use ephemeral so you have more time to learn the boss tells without wasting the sets. In the end you'll farm him with doryani's though.

And uber atziri is the same, but no builds can facetank double flameblast. And well.. uber trio can be troublesome.


Your gear is good, upgrades will be very costly at this point.

Edit: purity of ice is great at shaper.

Dunno why you saying its 1kk+ dps. Its not even half of milion atm.

By PoB the trickster is more than 1m on shocked enemies and his current guardian goes up to 900k something.

I'd also drop one of flask for a sapphire for shaper since he's mostly cold dmg.

I managed to drop a shav and six-linked it. Currently leveling a guardian which I will use for this build.

As a 4link is enough for the RF setup, I was wondering what would be a good 6link setup for the shavs.

I was thinking either whirling blades or shield charge linked with Faster attacks - fortify - inc crit - Curse on hit - flammability

Will this work to effiently trigger EO and EE (given flat cold/light dmg on gear)?
Which of the two (whirling blades / shield charge) would work better for this purpose?

Awesome thread! I've been wanting to try LL RF for a while now but never really had the currency for it till now. I just got my character going today but I know I need to upgrade a lot of stuff as my ES is pretty low. Does it matter if I use a lower level vitality? I'll need to when I get a crystal belt I think because of the str requirement. Any recommendations for how I should upgrade my gear are welcome!


How much ES should I have before attempting shaper? Never done it before, hoping to get him this league.

Good stuff, for upgrade :
One ring +% fire damage is awesome just expensive xD
Ring Shavronne +4% regen and no 3% (gain 1% regen is just awesome)
Boots +% hp and MP regen if you're Hit recently with 200+ES : must but expensive too
A good helmet but it's verry expensive (perso i LOVE my chest +2 aura and RF+40%^^)
Same gloves but more ES, not so expensive depend your budget
Elemental damage in Belt (don't know if they work for RF)

And last Troc shield vs a big ES (500+) shield Spell damage % + 2/3 res and Reduce damage taken by damage over time 20% BUT PC +/- 120ex xD

For moment my stuff :

I up last post 17k ES but need more damage, i change my Tree for take more ES/Regen, change ring for +31% fire damage, now i have 81% fire res 2k5/2k6 regen (i outregen 500/sec it's better for tank) and 15k5 ES, With culling and my damage i literally OS T15 pack with just One curse xD

But boss is a little long... I have no big progression possible and a t13 boss (gorge) die in 5/7sec, it's possible more faster with other build for same investissement, but this build is easy more tanky....

Hi Guys,

I'm playing a Trickster and only just over 10k ES with around 200+ regen. I feel that my equipment is good but I can't see anyway to get anywhere near 15k ES anytime soon.

I've tried in Path of Building to respec into a 500 ES shield and 450ES helmet but then I can't sustain RF at all.

My DPS is around 550k fully buffed with Inc AOE so damage I'm not worried about.

Any help is appreciated.
