Path of Exile and J!NX Shirt Design Contest

I truly admire how various motifs throughout the gaming environment(s) are macabre. I happen to be a Creative Writing major, and I am also an aficionado of Edgar Allan Poe's life and works. "The Raven" is a narrative poem in which many people are familiar with; it is with that regard I devised a way to use an image from the gaming world (which connotes mystery or perhaps deviates to inside-jokes--derived from the Path of Exile fantasy world) that denotes meaning from both the fantasy world and 'real world'--Path of Exile Acolytes will not have to feel out-of-place while wearing this T-Shirt amid strangers. However, as a writer part of my job is to sometimes take the unfamiliar and make it familiar (in new creative ways). People will be drawn to this T-Shirt because they are borrowing from images/ideas already produced/associated from/with their experience(s). Intrigued, they may be curious to pry for more information (which perhaps leads to a conversation).

I am not a stellar visual designer; however, I am certain artists of a different nature could take my idea and imbue it with a certain panache that is lacking in this current phase. Furthermore, a T-Shirt like this would provide a sort of gateway for advertising that goes beyond just the 'showing'; however, it is through a certain craftsmanship where images/ideas grow arms to grasp our attention--perhaps even our hearts, or perhaps our fears, yes, catharsis for some is delving into the darkness found in the aphotic depths of our sub-consciousnesses. It is these types images/ideas/symbols that elicit a response, that allow for connection between the distant, that bring about a 'knowing' through the process of the 'telling.' After all... that is partly why we tell stories: it's not just about being heard; it's about being told again after being heard. I will never forgot Path of Exile, and I will remember them through story.
