Seems like corrupted gems go past 20% quality, wonder what the limit is on them, perhaps unlimited? That would be a crazy way to let high end players scale their power.

That corruption does look really interesting. I do however hope its not going to make everything else totally redundant in the game and completely wipe the value off all those 20/20 gems. There HAS to be a downside to corrupted somewhere otherwise its just going to be unbalancing all the existing gear.

I'm thinking its going to be something like the old 'ethereal' gear in D2. Its only usable until it takes x damage or for x time etc before it reverts to its original.

well eth items was usable only on mercs or when it had self repair
so if there will be no downside negation it probably will be useless

the best thing i can think of is 2h affixes on 1h weapons. also crit implicit on spiked shields.

put a 2h flat phys on any dagger.
put oros sacrifice fire damage on a corsair sword with max physical.

anyways if this is possible its gonna be rediculous. cuz all u would have to do is craft a magic 2her to max phys with alts then corrupt a white high item lvl dagger. bam!! god weapon.

top end max phys roll for 1hers is at the bottom end max phys roll for 2hers lol.

etc etc.

anyways bak on topic...the gems shown probly require that u lvl empower or enhance first... if these corrupted orbs dont drop at a reasonable rate its just supporting rmt and elitist mentality which i hope ggg has learned to get away from.
