Sorry to hear that. Yes, invaders can be super tough. To the point I feel like when I'm entering new area, now where's the little nasty thing and let's hope I see him first and recognise him before he does anything nasty. I was in lunaris 2, and up to this point it was the "Oooh Kole" zone, now it was... "Oooh let's hope invader isn't with Kole", when I saw Kole on his own it was a relief then I just murdered poor guy, fella and procceded with the "in horror game" feeling. XD

massive creds to you GoranH for this guide, started off with an awful build and used about 15 respec points to follow this guide, having really fun with my templar now and im just lvl 39 cant wait to lvl more :)

Yeah that's pretty good. Love how you skipped fire walker, spell dmg nodes on way to EB. heh Might do that if I feel like having mana cost issues.

I used to play CI spork totems bear traps, back in March last year (last time i palyed poe) and the mana issues still haunt me. I'm pre-emptively mitigating it with EB, making sure I always have a huge pool of mana for spamming totems in merciless, since the invaders 1 shot them. Not really having dps issues atm. At level 54 with level 11 8Q flame totem and supports (lmp at 7 though) tooltip says my dps is 690.

Wish I had a quality Flame Totem... doing self-found as a challenge. heh (except for LMP purchase). Yeah atm mana cost is 127 per cast, and I have 47 mana regen with 392 free mana after reserve. 4L (Fire > LMP > Fire Pen > Faster Cast)

Heading for EB is my next move, though I'm not yet sure if I should rush with SP. Anyhow here's hoping I get to EB via longer path before ripping. XD With EB, I'll test what do you need to run GMP, can you do AA and to which lvl (what to have to get it).

Btw I almost ripped once more, game bugged out and crashed... thought I died. :p It was with that multiplying snake at entrance to forest encampent merc. Almost gave me a heart-attack.

What do you think of this tree? I got this from the TheuberClips guide for searing bond totems and removed the Holy Fire nodes.

I am not sure if the Totemic Zeal/Growth and Decay nodes are useful for flame totems. If not then I could go to the witch damage nodes.

Growth and Decay nodes are useless (for flame totems), and Totemic Zeal is good. Thing is imo that is waste waste of points. Getting away from Scion life wheel is bad and he spent too many points to go down there. Also he missed amazing templar starting nodes (which leads of to a tougher start most importantly), and missed great life nodes by Iron Wood. 3 Totem nodes near sentitel are good if you're using projectile weakness or increased projectile dmg (if I recall correctly) gem.

On the EB node. Currently in act 2 merc (Invasion tough, I'm sick atm... so I play slowly as my attention isn't that great atm.). Anyhow, thinking of incorporating EB/AA to the mix. Using discipline, even getting some reduced mana nodes if neccesary. As said, goal is to make great ballance of defense and offense, firstly focusing on defense. ;) When I get EB, and Discipline, I'll do some calculations into how much I'll need to make discipline turn into a positive considering free mana after reserve. If all goes well, you'll be able to run AA off your mana regen as well as spam totems. ;)

Out of all things... I ripped to Vaal merc. Lightning beam. Got shocked and hit three times in a row, stupidly... Was running around, but all hits landed and as I was about to exit portal, 4th hit landed and rip.... (I want to be brave and never resort to log out :p )

Anyhow will complete the guide. But think I'm done with PoE for a bit, of course will answer all your questions and help with the build.
