"Damage over time" nodes with puncture
Does it actually increase the damage over time? Cuz the stats didnt seem to change when I added the node.................
Bleeding target takes xxx% of the physical damage dealt per second The above stat remained the same when I hovered around my puncture skill. |

Idk if it's the same with all types of increases coming from the passive tree, but any increases my auras get from the passive tree aren't shown on the tooltip.
I'd assume it's the same with everything else http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1000307

" Tooltip as in skillbar? How about the character stats? I know for a fact that one changes... Too bad I didnt check that one bfr allocating the node... Gotta wait for the next leveli guess. |

" for example all nodes that say "increases effect of auras" won't be reflected by the skill when you highlight it I actually have no idea if it displays for damaging abilities. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1000307 Последняя редакция: Koldhearted#5573. Probably a bug, DOT increase is not displayed properly on tooltip. Something like the PA/conc.eff.
P.S. Btw increasing dot is the worst way to improve puncture efficiency. Don't. This is a buff © 2016

the tooltip for puncture only calculates the initial hit damage and dps, and does not include the bleeding out of whatever you hit, so no the DoT nodes won't show an increase in damage when you spec into them but yes they are working

Yes, it works.
" That depends very much on the build. Bonuses to the initial hit and bonuses to DOT combine multiplicatively, so ideally you want to boost both at once, but if you can only boost one at a time, it's better to mix and match rather than focusing on one aspect. The same reasoning applies to igniting builds (which also benefit from DOT nodes, incidentally). |

" It's probably a point of view, my experience in computer games says it's better to overspecialize in a certain aspect, polish it and push it to the limits, for maximum efficiency, rather than spread your efforts on this and that, which often leads to waste of resources. Being best in a single aspect > being average in several different ones. Crag Hack was always better than Gundula for a single reason, though they looked like identical at a first glance ;) This is a buff © 2016 The Experts ™ 2017 Последняя редакция: torturo#7228. My experience in mathematics says that (1+a)(1+a)>1+2a. Your mileage may vary though.
Shower thought: no two rares are the same. So rares are unique, while uniques are not. On the other hand, uniques are rare, while rares are not. Последняя редакция: fph#3111. Время: 30 апр. 2014 г., 11:18:43
