Both the SC and the HC leagues have reached the minimum of 20 participants in order to acquire MTX points as a reward. Chris_GGG has told us he supports the project and will hand us the mtx points but in the last patch the key code generator broke so he will need to get them manually as soon as he can. Shouldn't be too long I dont think. After a lot of hard work and thanks to the collaboration of many people, we have a great website for pvpers. However, it is now time to start tournaments and the best way to do that is offer microtransaction points as prizes for both winners and as random giveaway to participants. These rewards show the community that GGG is backing up this project and that the community should really try out pvp even if they have no previous experience. But we need your help! In order to receive those MTX points, we must provide a list of 20 confirmed participants in our first tournament. If we get that list done, we get prizes for the tournament but also potentially a long term partnership that will allow us to get points as prizes consistently for future tournaments. The first tournament will be: Softcore, LLD, North America & Europe. If you want to play, please give your confirmation by replying to this topic or pming me. If this event works out, we will of course have other regions, leagues and settings in future tournaments. Show your support and get GGG into pvp by showing them what the scene can be like. It's not true that you have to be megarich to have a chance in the arena, I've beaten Herpes and ShadowTheFall plenty of times with my crap gear. I have to admit Slaydemkidz is very hard, but he's not undoable. It's just annoying he stays in the center all the time ;-). Just find a build that can deal with crappy gear: Trappers, Totemers, Puncturists,... come in mind. There are many more, those involve good PVP tactics though. I'm playing a remote mine build myself, which is great fun in PVP: where to place the mines and when to detonate is so strategical. It also forces the enemy to move strategically, so you'll have a real PVP, not a beat-out of "who has the best gear?". You'll be seeing me in Sarn Arena more often! Dude - you are like the most miserable negative person. I actually feel sorry for you. I play on Standard no less, and whenever I happen to wander in there, sometimes there are a few peeps and they seem pretty normal and often a little lower level than me. It's a fun diversion to do something a little different. It's not a bunch of Godly toons waiting to prey up noobs like me. There are no rewards for it which mostly keeps that ilk away I'd imagine. In Sarn he's hard, but in a small space he's impossible. The only way you can get him is to rush to him and dps-kill him before the fuse goes off. I managed to do that twice, but he's pretty top-notch. If I get a 6-link, a lvl 3 empower and a 20/20 remote mine I'll try again! Not bitter at all, just stating the obvious: there is no PvP in Path Of Exile. Whoever has the better gear, uses the broken skills and exploits the game's flaws better - wins. Yes, I did PvP in Sarn lately and lost. One guy was using Whirling Blades to desync-flicker all over the place, worse than Brutus in a Turbo Race. Another was using GMP Arctic Breath to literally freeze me solid - char and PC. That's not PvP. It's bullshit like the D2 hammerdin. Worse, because D2 didn't have the lag, performance issues, and desync in a degree remotely close to PoE. Victor please read my post again. This time, understand what kind of "freeze" and "flickering" I was talking about. It's one thing to counter builds, and quite another to be fighting against a host of technical issues being exploited and used against you. That's not PvP, and I think that fact will be made painfully clear once we have competitions, ladders and build demographics.
