Pledge of Hands vs Mjölner vs Windripper

Every class has its own super expensive weapon like mjolner,st,wind the ripper. So what do u guys think about new staff ?

IMO pledge is only a little better than Taryns Shiver

That lvl30 echo makes biggest impact on ball lightning. This staff looks like being created just for this skill. Sure +gems is powerfull etc but for ball lightning to wreck one needs really rapid casting and all mods on this staff support just that

It sells for 50+ ex unlinked on standard and i do not expect it to go any lower.

Spell echo is absurdly powerful and people are still evaluating it as if id didnt exist. +grms is strong. True. But it is no longer a clear winner.

Btw taryns reminds me of freeze pulser days.. btw2 echo made fp viable again (mana issues gone for me)

ive read the same stuff written about soul taker, mjolner, voltaixic, windripper and pretty much EVERY broken as f.. unique in the past

in few months it shall be legacy

I sold oro's sacrifice for 4 exas when it first came out. Now they're worth 1 chaos.

Pledge will definitely go down in price but not as dramatically as oro's. It seems relatively rare(tier 2 uni).

Price doesn't only represent the power of an item, but also its supply and demand (which depends on drop rate and metagame). The item is new (aka rare) and has the fotm support gem built into it. The current high price mainly comes from these two facts, not from the allegedly overpowered status of it.

TL;DR: This staff will never be legacy, don't fool yourself with the price.

difference is with Oro's pretty much immediately it was know that this is a noob trap with current elemental scaling for attacks. same fate that Dyadus met

with this staff all people can say to diss it is 'fotm' or 'no +gems' and thats it. bit thin 'argument'.

on the other hand any MoM/EB build player knows what that 100% mana means and any Echo user know how RADICAL this support is. i bet we will see some pretty sick stuff done with this staff and price shall not drop quickly if at all

This staff's value comes from it being a good 7-lnk. Apart from that it's only an ok item.

To price it you need to evaluate what a 7-link is worth for spells compared to a shield's defenses or dual-wielding raw offense.
I believe 7-links aren't as beneficial for spells as for attacks in most cases. I see this item being good to provide more offense than other options. A bit like an abyssus (but less powerfull obiously).

My sentiment: this staff is very good for non-crit spell builds with tons of defenses without a shield.
My conclusion: very narrow and uncommon niche. Still very good and has an unique factor for said niche. Very rare drop (probably ?).

My price: 8 ex +/-4.

Comparison to Mjolner and Windripper: Ahah.
It's still good. I would like to get one for a super-secret-and-totally-personnal-yet-completely-fotm-because-it's-ball-lightning-based build.
