PoE reddit hits a new low

Sorry, I didn't read the entire 14 pages of hate.

Personally I think it's a good thing that even though the post that started it all has gone, at last there is some actual fucking discussion about Quality of Life improvements that are sorely needed and many have been needed for a long bloody time.

I guess it's a shame that this perfectly valid discussion could only be brought into being by some guy who was advertising his cheating program but there you have it.

for a long time I have been stating that I will give no more money to GGG until some QoL things are implemented. I have spent a lot of money on PoE and it's really a shame to see that GGG aren't adding features that many members in the community really want.

It's also a shame because I find at this stage in my life when I have plenty of disposable income and there are some really awesome MTX I want.

GGG, this cheating thing is opensource? Download it, implement the 2 great things in there (item filtering and particle settings), then adjust your anti-cheating system to ban anyone who uses the other things :D

Oh yeah, totally agree with you mate. GGG need to write something meaningful and plop in their dev manifest section or whatnot. At least a frontpage article.

I'm so suuuuuure that the qol features are the only part of the tool people use. Please.

I'll admit being tempted to try this particle effect feature it offers. Not having stupid deaths to things I'm not able to react to sounds very nice indeed. As for the other stuff like maphacks and such, I'm not interested in making the game any easier. I can see the appeal for just quality of life, not sure why you cannot.

Sure there are people exploiting any advantage they can get, but by lumping the two groups together nothing useful will get done.

yeah the guy didn't understand the comments he was quoting, obviously.

most people who turn the particle effects off just want to play the game, they don't care for the maphack or whatever else comes with it.

No, I understand and it's still not ok to use the tool. It's easy to lump both sides together since you can't determine who is cheating and who is using "qol features" based on their word alone.

Don't use third party hacks and you won't be accused of cheating. Easy right?

The game has come a long long way since beta. Additional updates will take time.
