GGG ignores performance issues and graphical options and whatnot for years, so people get fed up and roll their own solution. Big surprise there.
How's that offline client coming along GGG? Yknow, since you can't keep online a stable playing field. It's Realm of the Mad God all over again. In ROTMG people started selling hacked clients that had such effects as health bars over enemies, auto-aim, expanded views etc. The devs did nothing about it and now 85%+ of the playerbase uses these hacked clients. I don't want POE to end up the same way. |

Ah, the ye old reddit hate thread. You know why that thread is a good thing? The fact that it was made for starters. Everything on this forum is so stagnant and insignificant. Sometimes it just feels like I_NO and solwitch are the only beacons of free thought around here.
Finally something has shaken the community and developers and we might actually see some improvements to the game done, yet all we get here is "look reddit is talking about the bad thing, reddit is bad!" IGN: Smegacore

I like this, it puts pressure on GGG to work on QoL things. I also don't get the reddit hate, it's one of the qualities it has over the official forums, you can discuss this shit without getting deleted. I'm not too worried about the cheating, but that's because I'm not really competing with anyone and the cheating doesn't feel too rampant compared to other games.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" What pressure? GGG has been working on such stuff a long time and they also knew for long that people do this and they probably do bans as well, they should do ban waves like in D2. Announce that there was one and let the rest be scared of future banwaves. |

I have an easy solution for that :
Ban people from playing races (short to medium, honestly 3 month season are not really race as only people playing 10+ hours a day can reach the top of the ladder anyway) if they use maphack and such Ban people from trading if they use maphack and such (obviously bots as well) You will end up with people having an unfair advantage having it as if they were playing a solo game. Wont impact the economy nor the ladder. |
