Let us not pretend that GGG is making a Russian version out of the kindness of their hearts. Russian players have already access to the global version.

If there are to be any translations, accurate ones should be expected. It is understandable that the thread starter feels insulted by how badly translated they are.

It seems like 'free' translations won't be high quality ones. While it sucks for Russians who already know PoE, new players probably won't give a fuck because they don't know any better.

As I recall, one of the NPCs (a Master, if I recall correctly) stated that skill gems "allow mortals access to virtues otherwise reserved to the gods," or something like that. in other words, the virtue of using supernatural powers.

I have a strong suspicion GGG left the translations to Garena, and that is why they turned out however poorly they did. Unfortunate. ='[.]'=

This is the difference between a professional translation that costs serious $$$ and getting your fans to do the translating for free.

Perhaps GGG could do a research of how we roll with translations in Russia? We have the whole industry of 'correct translation', where people actually know how to not ruin the meaning of what they are translaiting. You can't just pick up random company or company of friends and expect a good job.

Good official translations are like Mirrors of Kalandra - you feel the same joy when finding one.

RNG scrued GGG this time.

I could invest my time, but it's hell lotta work to find the perfect word. (i'm professional writer, so its not just an assumption) I already did quite lot - i pointed out a problem. Which, by the way, noone from GGG could ever identefy by themselves.
