Blade Fall need to be destroyed?
" You haven't seen my CoC discharge build in witch forum? I was the first person to post a hybrid build in 2.0, and now 95% of people are playing CoC discharge hybrid or CI. Even Mathil did a poor copy of my build with his hybrid setup. That's the CoC discharge build I'm talking about. Also I said I reached L100 with it in WB, how did you get that I failed to build it correctly from that? LL CoC discharge? LL means low life, aka shavs. If you're not using volls protector on coc discharge, you're doing it wrong. And I'm also not playing LL CoC BF... LL BF self cast, check out some of my videos. Links in signature. Again I played both to L100/L99, this is all based on experience not speculation. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

All I have to say is you should be OP at some point. Not always struggling. BF maybe a little strong for investment...scale it back 35% but GG gear should be OP. Whether Mojo, Discharge, BF, Skyforths, etc... Takes work to make 6L, takes work to find stuffs needed, and work input usually equals rewards output.

The reason these debates go on forever is that people are meaning different things by the same words. When I say balance, I am referring to the design of two or more player options, such that it is not immediately clear which is optimal. If I was talking about the adjustment of player power relative to enemies in PvE, I'd use the term tuning instead. When I say OP, I mean something is so obviously above the average power curve that it stands out like a sore thumb, mocking meaningful choice. If I was talking about players feeling like their build and gear are successful, I would say something about players feeling powerful - not over powerful. Let's not accidentally turn a point about that-which-I-call-tuning, into a point about that-which-I-call-balance. It really saddens me to think that so many people wish bladefall to be brought down. I'm currently playing lowlife BF, lv 94 and around 150k tooltip with charges, 179k or so with flasks. The skill does great damage, but it most certainly does not need to be destroyed. I know players doing extremely well with other builds, such as magma orb, or flame surge... Yes, flame surge. Does anyone even remember the fact that ice nova can literally clear the entire screen with a couple casts? I bet no one does, because this happens every single league.
GGG releases a new skill that people enjoy and brings something different to the table, it becomes FOTM then people start crying for nerfs. There's alternatives to BF out there, and there are choices regardless of what people may think. Cyclone is fairly effective, arc is still effective... it was buffed recently. If I were to take all my current gear and switch my tree to lowlife crit arc I'd do just as well, especially since arc is just cast and go, no positioning, no nothing. If you've played the game well into t11-15 maps then you should know that anything over 100k dps (maybe even less) is basically useless. I don't clear anywhere near as fast as people using ice nova, volt LA, coc discharge, etc. I don't know what drives people so Hard to grab their pitchfork and torches and begin shouting for nerfs just because they think a skill is too strong. Why not try working with something else? Personally I regret not rolling volt LA a little, because it clears extremely well. Do you see me crying for nerfs? Why not just let people enjoy the builds they worked for? |

Ice Nova is indeed quite nutty. It's not as fast as ST CoC with Bladefall, but it's probably faster than self-cast Bladefall.

Bladefall has terrible clear comparatively but no cares about clear speed when they can kill random map bosses in 4 seconds.
The issue is that spells outside of chaos poison sheningnas which is getting nerfed hard soon - can not reach anywhere near this level of single target. The alternatives for single target are too weak. Even Coc discharge has mediocre ST compared what is available in the current meta. Can we give fireball more AOE + speed instead of relying on this ridiculous gimpy threshold mechanic to make it from shit tier to okay tier? Can we give freezing pulse a bit less damage decay as it travels? This feels more like an issue of spells sucking at single target as much as BF is finally a strong single target much like tornado shot was for bows. Tornado shot achieved FOTM status because it was a no brainier skill that was not only the strongest ST bow skill in the game at the time but also worked as an AOE which simplified gameplay to a level even a toddler could steamroll with. There seem to be a common hate towards effective builds that has impressive clear speed.
People whine about CoC all the time yet Mjonler CoC was fine because it was "high end" item so it deserves to be stupidly overpowered. Now there's BF which has decent clear speed with great single target damage that can kill bosses quick and it can be built fairly cheaply even a Low Life variant all you really need 5L shav's... AND now people do it in hybrid life/es which is again not terribly costly and very very effective. There are plenty of faster clear speed specs like LL Cyclone Discharge... but I guess it takes a voll's devotion so all of a sudden it's reasonable for it to be overpowered. Why is it so wrong for a budget build that could preform well? BF being good doesn't make ur voll's discharger any less faceroll... so why is everyone all up in arms and having cases of wines with all that salt? I am sure BF would be nerfed somewhat then I guess I will just have to go back to my discharger since its so much faster anyways... BF is like this cool new toy... a physical spell that actually works well enough with self cast... so I dont have to play EK for the rest of PoE's remaining life. edit: actually now to think about it, ascendancy classes will probably change everything... unless GGG is stupid, they wouldn't touch BF until ascendancy stuff is all said and done and coming out. There are already quite a bit of possible elemental OP builds just by looking at the points... I can't even imaging how stupid my discharger would be with 100% resist penetration. So my 30 second uber fight would probably take longer for her to RP than time for me to kill her. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change. Welcome to PoE. Последняя редакция: Pewzor#2343. Время: 30 янв. 2016 г., 04:32:45

" Finally someone who understands. Regarding your edit on ascendancy, I expect nerfs across the board. As it stands all crit based spellcasters with assassin class seem too good to be true. I will simply wait until the patch hits, and at that point roll whatever other skill is fun and exciting to play. This time I'll try to make sure it isn't a FOTM skill, that way I can actually have a build that lasts longer than 4 months in its original state. |
