CPU Lag 100% Usage CPU after 2.3
i still have 100% usage and thusly unplayable framerate when i see large packs of mobs. this was not the case before 2.3
my CPU is weak (Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz) but it was sufficient before, now not so much :( i hope i don't have to buy a new CPU just to play this game that worked just fine before. Последняя редакция: Gunfutsu#3346. Время: 17 июн. 2016 г., 03:01:19

As technologies advance, developers push their limits with new games and software.
You can't expect to be able to play all new games with a 10 year old CPU. One of my machines is a Core2Duo E8400, but I understand that it is a very old CPU and it just will not be able to keep up with the advances in technologies and new software. It is the reason I upgraded to a new machine. I wanted to be able to play newer games and I was encountering CPU bottlenecks. "worked just fine before" is no real indication of anything. Software is updated. Changes are made for whatever reason. "worked just fine before" was fine.... before. It is not before though, it is now. You could get lucky and it could just be a bug that GGG introduced. It could also be that a change was made intentionally which changes the way the CPU is used for various tasks and you just don't have the computational power anymore. |

Since 2.3g, the spikes have moved from just being shortly after loading screens to any time, any where. When they occur, the client actually black screens for a second, cursor still visible and moveable. I've tried the noasync and the wait for preload commands with no changes. At first I thought my GPU was dying, but then noticed the blackouts only occur when the CPU spikes to 100%, not to mention my second display is unaffected. On a Intel i5 3570k, GTX 680, raw power should not be a problem.

" You are sure you are talking about serious game developers, not some magpies? In gaming, just like in any other business, the balance is between value added and price paid. It does not feel like there is extra graphical quality added in 2.3 and yet setups that used to work do not anymore. Still, whatever the reason, since there was no graphical engine overhaul in 2.3 that could have attracted new players, any change that limit game availability for current playerbase can only hurt the game. Usually I waste my time playing rather than writing in game forum. However, I am one of those for whom the game became unplayable, --noasync didn't help much. |

I'm on a decent rig I5 4670 / GTX 980 TI / 32GB Ram 2666Mhz / running everything on ssd's.
and yet! =S this game still uses 46~% CPU and randomly crashes when I'm doing maps. I haven't been playing much lately since i despise the crashes. I tried the "No-Sound" option with no effect. I've been trying different options ( normally running on max ), and it makes no difference if i set all my options to low or high. I would love to see a fix for this issue, since its hard for me to play. I'm not tech heavy so i have no clue what to do. Thanks // Red |

Something similar for me. After patch when my bladefall hits monsters, fps starting to drop even to 10-15 and ping rises from 50 up to 100+ depends on pack size, but there are no 100% CPU usage. FX 8300@4.2GHz, gtx 960 4gb, 8gb 1866 RAM.

I had the same issue and turned off "Engine multithreading" to deal with it. Didn't notice any changes in graphic quality.
