Really weird that I have absolutly no problem with my connection. I've had a few desyncs and I've been playing since closed beta. Have you ever concidered it's people their connection to the server that is causing these problems?

You get more points (3) for playing in a 1 hour race and simply getting level 11 (super easy -- you could just farm ledge for 40 minutes) than you would getting the minimum prize for a ONE WEEK race?

There need to be level payouts here, plain and simple, and they need to be much larger than the 1-4 hour races. Like, 10+ points for hitting level 70ish as the base. And even that would be kinda bad.

I love you guys, and I love the races, but this reward structure is total bollocks compared to the short races.

just do the short races then? The way I'm approaching this race is just using it as a place to make a new character with a bit more of a challange than using gear I already have.

I only played a few hrs so far and hit mid 30s, I'm planning on lvl 65-70 by the end and not much more. Should get me in the top 500, but maybe not. Either way, doesnt matter.

I keep reading and all I see it people crying about not getting rewarded a thousand points for reaching level 60 or so. Why do all of you believe that you are entitled to get a ton of points just because its a week long race ?. Why do you compare prices of a 3 hour race to prices of a week long race? I don't know why you want to get 20 points for just getting to level 60 which is an easy thing to do in a week. A week long race is about building a new toon, trying out a new build, playing with some sort of a crazy restraint (like the manmode challenge), like people said its mostly about having fun above all else. Why are you making it all about THE POINTS?

I really think that they should add some progressive incentives, a bit like the short races:

- First 20 players reaching level 10, 20, 30, 45, 60 get X points (you could also add 70-75, but for the safery of players better not, Nugiyen and Prozon reached 65 levels in one full day session, pushing 70-75 to get first could kill someone crazy, so I think 60 is a good ender for this set of rewards)

- PoeStatistics is able to get the exp each 2 hours, so must be extract from the api, therefore they could give points to best 20 exp farmers in a, for example, 4/8 hours time, could give some chances for more casuals but experienced to gain points with strategy, preparing the low levels during the week, and set the bar during weekend with the best leveling they can do.

- At the end of the week give points through the max level reached, making it more interesting the higher is the level and avoid multiple low level characters exp farm
lvl 30: 1 point
lvl 50: 4 points
lvl 60: 10 points
lvl 70: 30 points
lvl 80: 60 points
perhaps lvl 90 get 100 points? :)
so anyone would get a chance for some points at least.

Obviously would be nice also a set of points for those first Brutus, Mervail and so on...

I would feel better about it if there were no points at all. The problem is that points are involved. Since the distribution of points is complete shit when compared to the PREVIOUS week races and even more so looking at the current 1 hour races. It's a very valid point and it won't be like this for long. I'd bet on it.

If you want to "support" GGG buy some tabs. I did. Don't defend them blindly though. Which you clearly did, since this format is quite different from their previous 1 week races. Yet you are trying to explain what a 1 week race is about, in your opinion about GGG's opinion.

I gotta admit I'm a bit disappointed with the structure; I just wish there were a "class race" as well being a duelist and all... bad timing for the forums to be down when it first started.

Just died on lvl 58 Disconnected while I was standing on WP and somehow fcking died the char must been locked in game for more than 6 seconds. Guess I forgot how pointless it is to play HC.

Seriously putting monster close to waypoints, that's rly rly bad idea.
