Diamond shrine+Resolute Technique no worky :/
Can y'all at GGG find a way to make diamond shrines actually work for those of us that use resolute technique? I don't know if this is a glitch or a bug or intended but it doesn't make sense to me that a shine is completely negated by a passive skill, the shrine should override the passive skill. Or am I just supposed to keep one refund point available to refund the passive only to reapply it after the shrine is done? I seriously doubt that.

Resolute Technique says "Never deal Critical Strikes". A "Never" modifier is always absolute, it even overrides any "Always" modifiers. Regardless of where they come from.

It does work.
You always never crit. 100% of the time. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.

" No, it should not, because then it would be an exception to the general rule. It is better if it follows the general rule ("never" overrides "always"). Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

This is a non problem
You take a node so that you can have 100% accuracy but have 0% chance to deal a crit Then you get upset when a shrine specifically made to make you crit doesnt affect you Thats complaining that something doesn't benefit you because you arent built for that benefit. Really dumb complaint imo |

It is working as intended, and the intent is very straightforward and direct. Always hit, never crit. Ever. That's the tradeoff, get used to it, if you want to crit then don't take Resolute Technique at all.

" Ah, but you see, the shrine also gives you 100% accuracy otherwise it would not crit 100%. So the resolute technique does not matter if you DONT have it, only if you do because of how the shrine works. The fact the shrine is a very temporary benefit should be all the reason needed to make sure that any of them work as they say they do and if needed override any passives you may have. It makes no sense for a shine to not work because of the passive tree. |

Definitely working 100% as intended.
However, this is a good opportunity for the nomenclature to be improved (there are many area's in the game where this is the case) example: Resolute Technique: Critical Strike Chance is capped at 0% Diamond Shrine: Your Critical Strike Chance is capped. IGN: Victory_Or_Sovngarde
It's not a 13 week development cycle, it's a 13 week supporter-pack cycle. You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta. |
