Kripp: Path of exile is more like d3 now

Oh no! An ex PoE player is mentioning D3 and PoE in the same sentence. And he has opinions on the matter. We have to make a big deal about it.

OT: GGG have to screw up A LOT for me to start comparing this game to D3.

As popular as it is to hate Kripp these days, is he wrong?

PoE has become more accessible, power creeping is very real, and its focus is more and more on speed farming repetitious content despite any efforts to move it.

D3 has barely changed, but at the very least balance patches made many more viable builds recently.

PoE and D3 are little alike, but he's not wrong to say they are moving closer together rather than further apart.

He's not wrong but people who haven't sold out to Blizzard for vapid cash grabs have been saying it for a while now.

Its nothing new and he's irrelevant to the subject.

Amazing that someone can play video games for a living. I still don't get that.

Everyone can't "get" everything, even though you probably should "get it" if you consider the market, the word "entertainment" and how internet ads and donations work.

But again, some people don't get streaming, others don't get quadratic equations.

Amazing that this thread is like dead sea where everyone is floating on saltwater. In case you fanboys didn't notice, this game has been going on the road to casual for a long time now, said Chris himself on Xbox development. Is it really that hard to accept that fact? It's not 100% casual right now but come on you think this game is as hard as its former self?

So, Kripp ins't wrong when he said PoE is becoming D3 like because casual gaming sells to the mass better.

No more irrelevant than anyone else; people who are here on the forums circle jerking already play PoE. Atleast some, if not most, of his audience does not.

People who haven't sold out to Blizzard for vapid cash grabs also don't have consistent audiences of 20,000 people listening to what they say. If you think your opinion on PoE isn't less important to the game's success than Kripp's is, you're simply fooling yourself.
