RIP mapping

Love how all the noobies in this thread are missing the point. He's not wrong by saying it was the last stand between mapping and trading. Changing sextants or even biscos is not a bad thing, but now, just like before, anyone who wants to generate some wealth has to resort to trading.

Trading or flipping has never generated wealth, it is and always will be proportional to and dependant on the currency and items generated by the people playing the game. Trading and flipping wont be any better or worse because of the change, it will be exactly the same in relative terms.

Now they can up the density of generic maps because there will be less modifiers to mob density. I don’t care what other people do but they had to balance to sextant blocking. Now they don’t have to.

It's like monster damage was balanced after nerf to vaal pact?
Oh it wasn't balanced.

The only issue with reduced currency drops is when you need to use the currency for crafting. The trade market should stablize within a week after launch

I doubt Watcher's Eyes will be cheaper next league.

People still survived en mass so balanced is relative. Maybe the stupid abyss phasing rate mobs could have been gentler. Something tells me with 80+ block or leech on spells or auto blinding that damage might not be going down. Being 1 shot is going to not be fun.

Watchers eye has hundreds of iterations. If it dropped twice as much it would probably be almost as much. I’ve had one drop for me. The entire time. My first elder too.

Who said trading is gonna be any different. It was already better then mapping by a long shot. Now it's not even close any longer. And again, the real problem (low monster density) has not been fixed. So we just losing here. No breach, rip biscos, rip somewhat efficient sextants. And all the casuals in this thread act like they gained anything lol. It's hilarious.
At least wait until the official patch notes are out, homie!

Non-sextant users did gain a lot. Their relative spending power in the economy compared to sextant mappers will go up tremendously.

Trader/flipper wealth is dependant on and proportional to the items and currency generated by mappers, so their economic power relative to the average mapper will be the same. But the casual mapper will now be a lot higher and the sextant mapper will be a lot lower relative to that overall mapper average. The best traders/flippers will still be the richest people around, but the casual player will be closer now, and in a stronger position economically speaking.

I LOVE people that use the term “casual” as an insult. I own a quite successful hobby gaming store so I see this subsection of each gaming community. It’s usually the most toxic and the one the community would be best without. At least online I don’t HAVE to be around it LOL. But I digress. I should get back to slow farming my shaped beaches with the dreams of one day meeting a guardian.
the 0.00....01% cries when their toys were taken away, whilst the 99.99....99% just don't care or laugh at the aforementioned.

I belong to the second category :)
People also label everyone as an "casual" if they dont have 60 mirrors which is pretty absurd, im lv97 with perfectly rolled gear, full lv21 gems, 4 line gg jewels, double physical reduction watchers eye etc but I dont have 18 hours a day to sextant abuse shaped vault, doesnt make me a casual.

I just play the actual game and do all the maps and sell whatever im fortunate enough to get. Sometimes ill farm Shaper for Dying Sun Flasks, sometimes Elder for his watchers Eyes, or ill sell mixed currency.

People are just sick of the massive divide between the "1%" and the normal players, and ya we hear you, "how does my money affect you". It affects us b/c people price things on the assumption that we all make 20 ex n hour like the last clown they watched on twitch abusing sextant blocking vault or spider lair.

There are plenty of ways to make normal, decent money in the game, by actually playing the whole game. Good riddance to this mess, hopefully they continue to patch it out.

You're kind of a troll yourself though.

^true statement. I could have / should have worded my op to be less antagonistic. Frustration gets the best of everyone at times , not an acceptable excuse though.
