See The POE Trade Button Up Top In This Forum ?

Why aren't more people using that TRADE button to the right of the FORUM button right up top here?
You can filter it, buy stuff fast etc. Whisper people for the trade in their own language even. It's right under our noses yet every time i see new people educated on such a trade site, people are directing them to some offsite page instead, like poe trade etc. Except for comparing prices between sites, I see no reason the POE Trade button above should be ignored so much. Especially for those who aren't running ad blockers etc as I hear certain bad things from the other sites. (bad ads, malware ads etc). Maybe I'm missing something. it's a question of habit.
As someone who is used to the bigmac, it could feel weird trying to get used to a whopper all of a sudden even though both products serve the same purpose. Turns out Poe.trade has been out a lot longer than the official one and people got used to it. Actually I have very rarely looked at the top of the forum except to click on the shop. I LOOK at it multiple, multiple times a day but I guess I didn't actually SEE it. It went in while my computer was broken so I missed all the patch notes about it. I didn't even know it was up there.

It's hard to break habits. People have been using poe trade for a while, I guess new players will be using the official trade.
At the end of the day though, for me, the official trade is not user friendly and the interface for results makes is horrible to find items. I use it only when I'm looking for items that don't have filters on poe trade. |

It is useful for several reasons. There are several mods that you can't sort or search on in poe.trade but can in www.pathofexile.com. It is usually faster for me as well.
The sentiment that habits are hard to break is 100% on target. I still on habit type poe.trade when I want something. Hell, I typed poe.xyz for the longest time too. Creature of habit. Thanks for all the fish!

I hate the GGG trade site. I find the poe trade one just way easier to use, and way more in-depth.

I recently joined and started with poe.trade - and while I miss the interface, trade updates much faster so I'm no longer having to worry about items already sold and all that jazz - it can still happen but with a lot less frequency.
Yep, totally over league play.

the official trade options are very limiting.
It works if you want something specific but not for more indepth searches poe.trade is just more flexible. |
