Regarding the Atlas change, I will wait and see if we get a new generation of maps or they solve that issue another way???

Don't blame me for having such attitude towards standard players, is the POE's community wants me to think this way.

The one thing that keeps me in this game is the ability to shape maps and play the ones that I want to play. Resetting the atlas this frequently is costing me loads of currency and a bunch of time to re-play old maps without pushing atlas objectives and shaper/edler influence. I'm just now barely at the point where I can sustain t:16 Haunteds without breaking the bank and.... 2 weeks from now the Atlas will get shuffled. All those sextants I bought are potentially worthless. And then what, I sit on the cusp of another rework and what point is there even playing this game?

Meanwhile the map tab I bought will be useless. Click click click empty it out, fill my dump tabs / trade tabs full of maps that will take me 2 months to run and then another Atlas change. More trading to re-complete the maps I've already completed and to get back to where I was a goddamn year ago.

If you're going to announce a change like this then you need to also announce what QOL improvement for Standard you are going to do. Do my unique maps stay put? Or do you expect me to fork over another 10ex for map completion for the 2nd time in a row? We play standard because we don't want this progression to be taken away.

Exactly this, as they try to discourage you from playing standard at all costs. And this task is more and more difficult, as new leagues are not so exciting, what you can observe on the example of „Betreyal”. But from GGG’s point of view „standard” is pure nightmare, because players don’t have to spend so much time grinding, most of them have outstanding gear too, along with plenty high levelled characters. So some “ascendency” destruction aka Zerker doesn’t work anymore, players can just switch to other, undestroyed char.

Item’s wrecking doesn’t work anymore too, there are plenty of very powerful “legacy” gear, including statsticks, so you can always equip what you need or buy something unavailable in leagues. So they came with atlas messing, to screw your progress and encourage you to play league content. Why to stay in standard, if you have to buy new map tab and complete atlas anyway, while in league you can get “free” map stash tab?

It's all my fault, really.

I was the one that bought a new Maps tab last league, because I didn't feel like removing 1 billion old maps to make room for the new maps in Standard.

GGG must have thought: "Hell... we can change the atlas every time, so those Standard suckers will give us money every 3 months, buying yet another Maps tab... Whahaahahaaa... free money!!!!"

im staying in standard again im not interested in this league and im still having fun with my characters ive already invested a tonne of time and currency into. having to start fresh every 3 months just isnt hitting it off with me as much as it used to, and i dont know how many more times i care to have to drag myself through all the acts anymore and try to hunt down cheap gear when it takes like a month or two before i'm anything but dirt poor and can farm maps at more than just a snails pace. i just dont want to have to keep putting myself through that anymore if i dont care enough about the new league to want to start over, so i'd rather keep scrubbing it out in standard for now

i see no reason to just get rid of all my maps or try to sell them all just because ggg got bored one day and didnt like the positioning of one or two maps on the atlas. since delve ended ive got well over a thousand t10+ maps i want to run through and i know ill never be able to do that in just 2 weeks, i play enough trading simulator tycoon as it is and i dont want to deal with trying to sell thousands of maps, and i really dont care to take the hour or so to just vend them all because i'm good for quite a while on scrolls of wisdom.

i cant seem to find a better solution, so the best option i see is to buy another tab and not have to deal with this bullshit. but who knows? like i said, perhaps the change wont require a new map tab layout, so maybe this wont even be an issue and i'm just worked up over nothing

having to re-do my atlas will still be a slight bit of a nuisance but this time i just wont bother buying the super expensive maps solely for the sake of completion, because now they have a tendancy to want to fuck it all around every league

i guess ill just have to bite the bullet here and reward them for this crap. at least by the time synthesis league ends i should be all done with my old series of maps, so if they fuck the atlas around again i can just clear out whatevers left in there and have that ready to go. right now ive just got too many i want to run.

i dont like it but it is what it is. i dont see why the map tab shouldnt be able to hold all series of maps.

if a map changes tier, the map tab still thinks its the old tier?!

no generally what happens is the maps become a new series. and a map tab can only hold one series of maps. you can right click the map tab and change it to store the new (or older) series of maps, but that requires the map tab to be empty first.

i think its rather lame. our map tabs should be able to hold all of our maps. we paid for the extra map tab. it should be able to hold our maps. thats the very purpose it serves. why you no want to hold my maps?

whatever though. we'll see what happens after this next shakeup.

it's like when they changes the maps from round maps to the current, the older couldn't count for atlas completion, so why to keep them?

unlike after the harbinger series, after delve league ended i could run my old maps and the new series of maps would drop inside of them. i could then use them for atlas completion. i just needed to get a t16 to drop and than finish that, it clears out every tier of maps below it. then i just had to run the other new guardian maps, and unique maps. the older unique maps would count towards atlas completion as well, so assuming that will still be the case, im trying to round up as many of them as i c

i cant remember whether or not running older maps would help for completion. but i think it might, iirc the first map i ran completed a shit tonne of maps, so bad that it lagged my computer down after i killed the boss

the thing that fucked me over was all my shaped maps would appear to default to their original tier again when id enter the map. zana wouldnt let me shape my shaped maps either lol so i just disposed of them, days before GGG fixed that issue.
