Which gem should I link if I want to self cast Volatile Dead? Thanks.
Also, this build cannot do Elemental Reflect map, right? I just want to make sure that I avoid that mod.

Also, Path Of Exile Builds made a video guide for this build. It's a very simplified version but will probably be very helpful to newer players. I don't 100% agree with all of his choices but I don't think any of them are bad either and it's very easy to follow (compared to reading a block of text).

Welp, level your combustion support in CWDT setup. Its debuff is stronger the higher the level. :)

Assassin's Mark in CWDT with Desecrate + Spell Cascde (move Spirit Offering Elsewhere) is a nice damage boost that you can do for free basically. For now I would drop the ball lightning for it until you have some ES or Life recovered on hit.

Also level up the Bone offering and CWDT that it's linked to. It's a duration skill and levels matter a lot for it.

Spec out of Ele Overload. Now that you've started taking some Crit Nodes you will deal more damage without it. And then, yeah, fill out the rest of the crit on the tree. You'll get there.

Get a Diamond Flask and an Atziri's Promise. Very nice DPS boost with these and easy to obtain.

Replace Inspiration with Awakened Fire Pen (40-45c right now)

Start with those things. :)

Yea don't do Ele reflect without the sextant mod.

For self cast:

VD - Spell Echo (or Spell Cascade, either works) - Intensify - Conc Effect - Ele Focus - Awakened Fire Pen OR Controlled Destruction OR Arcane Surge.

Spell Echo VS cascade works very similarly in that you spend mana once for the CWDT proc and create 6 balls. It's a bit easier on the performance end of things and has a smaller "less damage" multiplier.

why pain attunement?

I have my lethal pride timeless jewel socket there. it gives me "glancing blows" which doubles my block chance but you take 50% dmg from blocked hits.
it is not a must have and dont use it if u use leash as belt. i feel pretty tanky with it, currently lvl 98 and climbing. would probably not use it if i didnt want to see if i can hit 100.

After a bit of thoughts, i realized the 100% reduced reflect elemental damage taken is bs useless.

So i tried to lock suffixes, scour, and was left with the two goo suffixes and a disgusting block recovery suffix. Tried to annul ... ... ... it worked !

So now im left with this



As a newbie to craft, should i multimod it ? exalt slam it ? im a bit lost, i feel like there is too much possibilities :/

Hey mate. Martyr freaking exploded in price - I play only a few hours a week (5 if that) and my currency is very, very limited. Currently have 26 chaos to my name with Scold being the only Item I own (lucky metamorph drop). What other weapon options do I have If I can't afford Martyr or craft anything?

Went away for a bit, why the change to Incinerate?

haha yeah I saw that. Not sure if Duskdawn is much cheaper but it's *almost* as good as Martyr but the rolls are highly variable and it tends to be pricier. Can always check it out. Beside that, I dual wielded scepters until I got my Martyr at league start. Just forgo the staff nodes until you're using a staff. Plenty of points to spend elsewhere.

Nothing gets by you! hahahaha

I'm just playing around as Incinerate has 6.4 million DPS with no changes to my setup. I'm considering getting a white socket in my staff so I can gem swap as I see fit.

Actually to anyone who is struggling with DPS you can try using Incinerate instead of Cyclone and pick up a pair of Voidbringers (get max roll increased mana cost if possible). It's not as smooth for mapping but adds a ton of single target DPS. This is a variation and requires basically no change whatsoever.

I would Add quality via suffix craft and get it to 6L if you can afford it. But then yeah block a suffix and slam it before multimodding it. All depends on how much you want to invest into it.
