Orbs of Augmentation seem quite UNCOMMON to me, relative to Orbs of Transmutation and Orbs of Alteration.

I have like 200 and I don't even pick them up anymore. It's a vendor recipe too.

Wanna buy some?
Both of those are sold from vendors with easily farmed currency.

5L avg? Around 50 fusings. 6L? About 300. It'd be higher I bet if not for the bastards who got 6L in 1-5 fusings.

Or 19 :)

It's ok, I've go you covered. I've never rolled a 5L/6L, and I don't really want to know what my actual count is.
it has a lot to do with the way players choose to use their orbs. some people say find the sockets and then use fusings/chromatics. personally i build up 20 chromatics and i trade them out get 20 trade them out. havent used a single chromatics yet and maybe 3 fusing but i go through alterations like CRAAZY. i am a poor man just tryin to get to maps and i learned to craft all my own gear you just gotta farm the whites with the right sockets you need for the next 10 levels.

No.

And this is why you shouldnt use that site. It's worthless. It's good to get a base idea for.newbies, but other than that, its worthless.

Well, you could choose to give a reason why not.

In order for the site to be "useful", it needs to be setup in the same manner currency/stock exchanges are done. That is, they keep track of people's buy offers and sell offers and the difference between them.

For example: http://imgur.com/biT9F

There's always going to be a "void zone" between people buying (wanting sellers to charge less) and people selling (wanting buyers to pay more). At this point, either a buyer decides they really need the currency and pay more, or a seller decides they need to sell for less and move on. This spread is what needs to be tracked to help establish the current "market prices".

What people are going to have to accept is that if you are buying, you have the right to offer what you want, and if you are selling, you have the right to ask what you want. Just because someone comes along and sells a GCP for 3 alchs, it doesn't mean the new market price of currency has changed and everyone has to sell their GCPs for 3 alchs.

That's essentially the problem with the website; it's in the wrong format.

Wasn't BATS the stock that crashed itself due to a bad trading algorithm?

Everyday I watch the trade channel, it seems like these two orbs are in great demand. Considering they aren't exactly very high level orbs, the likely scenario is the crafting sink is working too well. Players need more of these 2 orbs when it comes to gear perfection, and apparently supply is not keeping up with demand.

I think the problem here isn't so much that there isn't enough of a supply. There's plenty of them around. The problem is when people want them at all, it's usually because they are trying to make a 5L or 6L item. This means they will need a LOT of them all at once. There's plenty of these orbs overall, but the one person who needs them will probably end up having to trade with half a dozen or more people who each have a few in order to get all the ones they need. The person buying them will probably trade with one person, use up whatever orbs they got, then shout again for another trade and repeat this until they get the sockets/links/colors they need. Therefore you'll see one person asking for them for a while and it'll look like there's a lot of demand for it, even though the supply is fine.

Also, since the orbs are worth so little, people are less likely to hold on to large quantities of them unless they do expect to need them soon.
I think the drop rates are fine as they are now. They're not all that common in dropping, but you can easily get a-hold of quite a few of them over-time through recipes.
Divination Card - Emperor's Luck.
Energy Shield is quite popular these days so a lot of people try to get mostly green/red sockets on a standard blue sockets piece of gear.
That takes a ton of chromatics.
