How I plan to use Vaal Orbs

A +2 vaal gems searing touch will EASILY be worth the 80-120 fusings it takes to 5l it. May your corrupted orb not fail you :)

First thing I'm doing is corrupting all my Facebreakers. The fact that uniques can be corrupted is awesome.

Lets see, stuff I have no chance of actually ruining and don't need different colours on...



Well, I guess that's about it! Too many of the items I actually save rely on having good implicits to start with :(

I'll be using it on all my level 1 empower and enhance gems. Not really much to lose (the level of the gem cant go negative surely) and you have a chance to hit the jackpot with a +3 level which at the very least has just saved you about 3 months of grinding.

Corrupted lvl 2 gem can't level to 3. I doubt it would turn profit considering cost of gem + vaal orb price coupled with the negative property of being frozen as is.

Gotta remember vaal orbs are as rare as DROPPED chaos orbs (no vendor recipe for vaal orbs as of yet) + demand of being new means they will be expensive at the start.

Guys, you just lack imagination. Sure you won't use corrupt on mirror worthy daggers, but on some mid range rare or common unique ... it can turn "meh" item item "pretty good" easily.

I actually agree with this mid range affordable crafting philosophy. Thanks God that corrupted orb is not some rare and expensive shit that RMTers and professional hoarders/flippers will buy to make their 300 EX daggers into 600 EX.

Too lazy to look up the quote but one dev stated they will drop at a rate similar to chaos orbs.

I am going to corrupt so many items. Let those Vaal implicit mods come.

but you cant use orbs after corruption ...
