Bandits and Griefing on Hardcore

It is intended, and it is a very interesting feature. If you would have read the text you would have known. I think it's a great feature, and I am not alone with doing so, there was a post on poe's subreddit which got a lot of upvotes which was a print screen of the text with a title like, really cool mechanic or something.

How? I didn't even know you could attack other players in this game, outside of pvp.

Exactly how am I supposed to know it flags me as an available target to them? And why in the hell would they even add that as a mechanic? Under what scenario is it beneficial to attack your own group?

The whole thing is beyond stupid, and purposely assists griefers.

Cause it's hilarious. Want it to be like D2 where anyone can flag you for pvp at any time and kill you? Cause that was fun too.
Reading comprehension. It's important. This has been a public service announcement brought to you by Books; Books "we still exist".

I would definitely try and let a dev know about this. I am pretty sure this sort of thing is not "working as intended".

Try making a thread in the Support forum for more exposure on this.

It is working AS intended , WHEN you vote it even states it that players can attack each other when they choose different.

Reading is a Gem

How could you not see this coming? I don't even have a HC champ yet, but when I did those quests and it said I could kill party members who didn't side with me, I was like "I'm never partying for this quest."

It's so obvious. Really, it is. You can't blame anyone but yourself. The devs talk about this all the time, just read the damn text and you'll be fine.

Though I do like the above posts idea. You shouldn't lose your champ if you die in this situation.

Because I decided to not read any of the quest text, I totally should have seen this coming... Yep. Totally. Maybe GGG could add more areas where players can grief those who decide not to read story text, and force them to lose thier HC characters too! Brilliant!

*boggled*

It doesnt state this in the boring Questtext no one reads but in the Vote page

It says it in the dialogue where you choose to help or kill him.. It warns you that if the decision is not unanimous your party will be forced to duel each other to decide which decision is made.
i think it's intended.
now i want to play hardcore.
great mechanic.

I agree with the idea that this isn't the intent.

Waiting for people to choose to kill then choosing to help and easily killing the people seems to be an over-sight for hardcore mode.

It's an interesting feature by itself in default league, but joining a game offering to help kill the boss and then killing the people is really just griefing.

There's a difference between a duel and taking on an army + a player(s).

killing people who can't read, yet play the game is hilarious and fun. Now if they can only add in a feature to loot their corpse or take their head or ear as a trophy, it will be complete.
Glad I'm a soloer. Now I just gotta get strong enough to stand up to Oak on my own. ><
