Yeah, I'm leveling Catarina at the moment so I can put lightning leech on the dagger. Doryani belt is like 3ex on torment, I cannot afford that at this moment.
I'm level 68 right now with 2700ish health.

Yes, it works fine without EE ofc, but why play a "fine" character, when you can get an awesome? :)

If I were you, I would try and sell the dagger for as much as possible. Better loose a little currency than loose one of a hell big dps boost... If I were you ;)


I doubt I'd lose any currency reselling it. My qualm is mostly with the fact that I've paid only 3exa for it, and for a "proper" weapon I'd have to dish out 15+ exa's, while the clear speed will stay virtually the same. That being said, currency isn't the problem at all, but sheer necessity. If I'm not pleased with how 78's clearing goes (ie. trouble staying alive), I will definitely upgrade the weapon, but if we're talking about a minute or two longer to clear the map, then meh. I'm never 100% wired when mapping anyway, but rather semi-afk. Plus it's enough to get a phone call, missus asking for something, getting spammed in-game for sales etc; to screw up my clear speed, so EE just might make no difference for me.
However, I do see where you're coming from. I tend to turn into a perfection freak myself when it comes to my SRS Summoner. As for Discharge, I decided in spur of the moment that I'll make one char for it just because it's incredibly effective, and I bought the essentials (Voll's 6L and that Dagger).

Just dinged 80 today with the build and am also using Malachai's Simuli for the "free" 5 Link, it also helps lower the cost of Cyclone vs using Blood Magic. I leveled using dual daggers with lightning tendrils with fire trap then to crit arc, and made the switch once my Cast on Critical Strike was high enough level. Surprisingly, I've played this build self found, literally everything dropped except for the Malachai's Simulai which I bought for a chaos. Not running Grace or multiple auras is a pretty huge downside but I've found proper flask management with a Jade Flask to help alleviate this (basically mash Jade, Topaz, Quicksilver). I'm running Herald of Thunder on life and still have 3k hp to take a few hits before Vaal Pact and Life Leech kick in. Bricked the dagger with an accuracy roll but regaled Fire damage so I went for Elemental Equillibrium and crafted Crit Chance. Makes little difference but 4 points in Written in Blood in is better than 4 Scion life wheel nodes (Acrobatics destroy the bonuses but you still get 10 Str; 5 life 2% melee phys) and I opted to not put the point into One Handed Critical Strike Multiplier next to Disembowling. Current crit chance is around 60% without power charges with lots of room to improve jewelry and an eventual Rat's Nest and Saffelf's, the setup is janky but more than enough to level with capped res and not died to elemental reflect.

You're breaking your EE with Herald of Thunder - this adds lightning to your cyclone so you're making all mobs lightning resistant as well as fire resistant.

The best way to see what sort of damage you do is to mouseover your cyclone-skill while all buffs are running. If it says "does xx lightning damage" your EE won't work right.

Yeah, I noticed that and respecced into Celestial Judgement a few hours ago after more testing and a couple gear upgrades. 1 more level to go until I can grab Celestial Punishment, the clear speed right now is insane.
I’ve been using lightning warp + faster casting + reduced duration for mobility for like ever. So much so that they’re like 10m xp from being 20/20.

On a CI CoC discharger this worked really well, but I’m seeing this build as a much faster clearspeed and a much safer alternetive. Maybe I’ll muster up the courage to go life-based.
I'm leveling up with this setup:


Super fun so far, cant wait to go for the discharge. One thing- I'm having a blast with Herald of Thunder.. it's really helping me out a lot. If I wanted to keep that with this build, would I need to avoid Elemental Equilibrium? What would I go for instead?
Being Level 78 now on Torment with this quite decent Gear, i guess :



Overall i gotta say, 5l is needed in my Opinion, had a hard time leveling without.
I feel like im forced to run Lifeleech with a 5l, even with my 2% Lightleech its not enough at this Stage.
You can pretty much feel what this Build can become with Levels and even better Gear.
Damage overall is still just insane and your Clearspeed is hilarious.


I leveld with Flameblast/Arc in a 4l which just turned out fine.
Respecced at 64/65 i guess.
