Dude... alea... the whole game is about how awesome the story is, how you learn about the jedi, the sith, races like the sand people's history and shit.. its fucking amazing.

watching a speedrun to judge a game which would take about 30 hours to finish normally is a really bad idea.. i mean the only thing you can see there is the graphics and spoilers in the main storyline if you actually watched that..

and.. none of those games are like kotor or origins wtf...
witcher is just a MMORPG in single player
fallout is a first person shooter elder scrolls, and new vegas is just like a modded fallout 3(i hate new vegas)

All the more reason to check out Avernum. I can't quite bring myself to try it because the graphics are so fiercely defiant of what 'good' looks like, but reviews across the board praise the gameplay and story.

To me it was probably the most boring game i have ever played.. the story was uninteresting, the quests were MMO quests (go kill 10 chickens and return the feathers to X, then go kill 10 wasps etc, same shit over and over again), the combat was literally 1 button spam(the more you click left click the fancier it gets, god forbid you actually have to do something) with none of the skills being remotely intersting(knockdown at 90 angle degree and some other boring shit)

Honetsly its just a random MMO game that they made in single player, i have no idea how anyoen can think that that pile of brown shitty blandess is a "fine" expirience" cause to me it felt like an acutal chore with 0 reward

do you mean elder scrolls oblivion? i liked that game a lot yea, i finished it about 6 times i think, did all of the available quests and all of them were unique and fun in that game, brotherhood was my favorite storyline, although its kinda short compared to the other main ones i still liked it the most

Skyrim or Fallout 3 are opened, else most of others arent, or only partially

Only finished risen 1, not a big fan of guns mixed with swords in rpgs like in risen 2

i finished the mass effect trilogy, you should play the first one, its the best one of them, the best story, best costumization of items, everything is just much better than ME2 or ME3, altough those are good too but just very simplistic.

Finished both skyrim and fallout 3, hated new vegas though.

You should really play older rpgs dude if you like these types of games.. the old ones are much more immersive, have amazing storylines, are actually somewhat difficult.. really the only downside is the graphics, which i personally dont mind
