Some really great suggestions in this thread so thanks for everyone's contributions. I enjoyed Divinity the most out of those listed here. I'd recommend Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's more a stealth-shooter than an RPG but it has a great story and a lot of depth (several ways to solve missions, good character/item customization etc). " To me it was probably the most boring game i have ever played.. the story was uninteresting, the quests were MMO quests (go kill 10 chickens and return the feathers to X, then go kill 10 wasps etc, same shit over and over again), the combat was literally 1 button spam(the more you click left click the fancier it gets, god forbid you actually have to do something) with none of the skills being remotely intersting(knockdown at 90 angle degree and some other boring shit) You asked for story not gameplay.
