Is Path of Exile the most expensive game you've played?

I used to average about $600 dollars a year on games. After I bought these packs I told myself I would not spend any more money on any games at all until I have played off that 600 per year on POE. I still have several years to go until I have POE "payed off".

To ensure I do someday get it "payed off" I have also committed to not put any more money into POE (that and other game-related reasons). I do want to play other games at some point...

Probably not as much as I spent on WoW subs but still up there.

And I don't even know if it was worth it buying all these packs. GGG never seems to do what I want.Yes, it might sound selfish, but I want all legacy gone from standard, crit nerfed or non crit buffed, desync fixed(i don't care how), too much skill tree changes. etc etc.

I spent 4k over 3 years on a pay to win game so the 500ish bucks i spent on poe are wellllll worth it in my opinion. (and i will never play a pay to win game again, its never really pay to win, its pay to keep up with the others).

Certainly the most in the shortest amount of time but I paid a total of about $1400 to SOE to play the various Everquests.

Definitely no. Hell, go play Spiral Knights and tell me about expensive. It's a royal pain in the arse to get barely to mid-game. Think that grinding and trading is bad here? Try to make a living at Spiral Knights. And let me tell you: Three Rings toned things down on recent patches. It used to be worse.

Some russian game called Allods Online. It was an awesome game but everyone was paying to win so you'd need to do the same to keep up with the pack since there was a big (and really fun) pvp aspect. It was a pretty hard raiding game (24 players raid) as well so everyone needed to open their wallet to get higher runes, more talents, etc. The game imo was the best i've played (probly a tie with poe) if only it wasn't pay to win sigh.

It is, but I'm only averaging around $20 a month, so I consider it a relatively cheap hobby.
