Recommend Me a Good Anime (Samkiud's "to Watch" List)
" To each their own, but I found it dreadful. Bloated, misplaced flashbacks and shifts in perspective too quick and inconsistent obliterate the pacing. I found myself comparing it very unfavourably to Brotherhood. The fact that you liked it definitely helps me understand some of your other reactions. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I'm enjoying "blood blockade battlefront" so far. It's not OMGAMAZINGWOAH, but it's interesting and keeps me entertained.

I would recommend Munto as an anime apparently lost in time. The appeal of the show is difficult to place but in part could say it is reminiscent of an earlier possible trajectory for anime (say somewhere closer to the 90s, in the scheme of things) which has since been lost.

" Try Monster(74 episodes IIRC) It works without any Anime cliché but be aware it's slow paced it doesn't try to chain cliffhangers. Instead of using summaries(they spoil quiet much) check the first 4 episodes if it's something for you. Requesting mature anime will usually end up in reading novels because they are rarely adapted into anime. Either the story is only loosely based on the novel like Bond movies on Ian Flemming's novels or WarZ movie vs book. They aren't likely to attract a large audience and a film production is too expensive. Or simply because the adaption would be too controverisal. Some classics also have been mentioned. You will certainly see which movies have been influeced by them. Given your ratings you aren't really into mature anime but rather a different form of youth anime(still shōnen or seinen because they have pretty much the same story telling but include more deciptions of gore,sexual themes etc.) |
