Just saw the Suckwave Totems build...

This is nothing in terms of fun if you compare it to the GHOSTBUSTER BUILD!

Here's how it goes: get an incinerate, get the blue flame mtx, put the gem into the gloves, go on youtube and play this, and start using it like a vacuum cleaner in fairgrave's area in act1.

After that, suckwave totem will feel sucky indeed.

I don't think you have anything to fear, SWT is all too obvious for the item, it's not some obscure interaction they needed the community to discoveer.


Another obvious skill to use with it is Sweep. Sweep sucks, of course, but with with those new gloves, the word "sucks" gains completely different sense.

Normal Knock-back totems at-least pushed enemies into the group/you randomly. This is just insane with the stun as-well. Its basically Utility, Stun and DPS.

If you want this to be utility, probably reduce the damage a lot, and force people to use an alternative skill to clear. I dunno.


It is likely easier to use. But you normally had no issues with mobs being pushed into the group, just out of the totems range. Sometimes mobs desynced while getting pushed, which can still happen. The issue of shockwave builds always was that their damage didn't catch up with other builds.

So what those gloves do is basically focussing on the strength of those builds. They clear most maps safe and quick. But as soon as enemies are at least able to act, it will just make it more likely that they will destroy the totem. Which actually is the bigger concern, since you are free to move and summon a new totem to protect you if one enemy accidently gets pushed towards you.

The build will basically just do what it did before. It doesn't allow anything new you just can be even more careless then before with shockwave totem.
It would be shame to nerf this mechanic just because of how it interacts with shockwave totem.

OP factor with shockwave is that monsters are held in center while you can do whatever without even being hit.


Other abilities/spells are kinda fine...
