Perandus chest guardians [updated]

This is a very good point. It's strange how chests can have either white mobs, blue mobs, a rare, or unique mob(or even multiple uniques) yet there's no connection between the strength of the guards and the contents of the box.
my issue with perandus mobs is that having a char that gets no drop penalty in merciless solaris is the best method to farm coins. something that ggg never wanted, players having to permanently get their chars killed to farm something the most efficient way.

got to love the one where they keep respawning until you kill the boss wich of course is trhowing sword from offscreen, only way to do that one is rushing to the boss and pray you have enought damage to kill the boss before the monster gang gets you.

the rest seem fine. as many pointed out graphic needs to be toned down, specialy brightness its like fighting a bunch of light bulbs shooting light rays.

A good way to know that a Perandus guardian is present is seeing your hp start dropping while farming Cadiro in Tidal Island.

Honestly, thats what i though too at the beginning, ESPECIALLY when those Perandus Guards were MIXED with maybe a zoneboss or something...

But now i somewhat found my way to take them out safely.

Sometimes you rly have to kite it out, but its always doable.

I like the challange and the difficulty.

Especially the loot is so good.

If the game lets you. The last three attempts at enjoying the game ended the same way for my GF and me. A reasonably solid 60 FPS dropping to a complete standstill due to the visual clusterfuck higher level perandus mobs unleash.

Unbalanced mobs I can handle, in fact you pretty much have to quite constantly in this game. Not being able to move, not so much.

 Sorry your GPU/CPU can't handle the load. I pitty the fools that play PoE on an underpowered gaming rig and/or shitty Internet link and expect GGG to nerf the special effects just for them. I love Perandus mobs (even the craziest of the gold glitterfest mobs where I can't see a thing that's going on). I just flood the whole area with 3 fire totems as a front line shield, back up a bit, and then lay down a wall of magma orbs until they're dead and new ones stop popping up. If any get close I freeze pulse them back to whatever hell they spawned from. Simple. My aging gaming rig is 5+ years old and never freeze lags me at all. Frame rate slow down, YES, frame lag deaths, NO.

 In other players posts I ask for their hardware specs and Internet latency tests to see what they have and what (if any) can be done to help them and never get them to post back their specs. I've given up asking.

 I used to post my frustrations about certain bosses being way over-tuned. Some posts go back multiple years. I've just had to learn which bosses I must skip cause GGG isn't going to nerf them and shouldn't be nerfing them unless majority of players with above average builds are dieing a lot. In the case of p-mobs they are sometimes tough when it's a very small corridor and the main p-mob boss uses rain-of-arrows attack but that makes for a great and challenging fight to kill them all.

 GGG has tuned them very well and should never nerf them.

A few remarks to this:

1) System performance does not follow a linear scale. A gaming system can be superior for 99% of titles and still underperform for 1% thanks to missing optimization or badly implemented code. From what I can see, a lot of people have issues with PoE. The fact that you do not does not mean that everyone else is running worse computers than you or don't know how to properly maintain their windows installation.

2) Any game, and yes I do many ANY game, that will drop from 60FPS to a complete freeze has performance issues. There is simply no way you can argue to make that acceptable.

3) This goes doubly when it only affects very specific mobs, and even very specific subsets within those (lots of perandus groups will be fine). Large shrines on higher level maps with auras and tons of effects will make my FPS drop a bit, but never freeze the game. I would accept this if I played a melee cycloner and tried to dive right into the group. As it stands the encounters will freeze the game with the perandus group barely entering the screen.

So no, sorry, this is an issue with the game. If it only affects few people and GGG does not try to fix this it is a decision they can make of course.
Yes these guys are sometimes over the top (graphic lag wise), but this example is entirely the player fault:

An example of bad gameplay. Unless this was some sort of showcase, how to die by being bad. Which fails at proving the point of perandus mobs being difficult.
