Can someone tell me why Black Sun Crest is better than Doedre's Scorn, black sun gives to us more or less 120+ int wich is 12% spell damage when doedres give us 20% ele damage plus 14% damage per curse more energy shield..?

int provides base damage to our icestorm. we dont stack int for the negligible spell damage bonus, we stack it for this base damage scaling. essentially, black sun crest is something like a 15% MORE multiplier to the damage.

If you bring flasks like these you should be safe:

Izaro's base damage is physical, and various buffs add +elemental, but when you reduce the physical base they don't matter much. Getting frozen and not reacting quickly to it is the 2nd most dangerous thing. Getting teleported by the 'green ring' ability in the final fight is the 3rd most dangerous, or even 2nd if there are curse fonts.

But overall, with 8.8k ES and 1.6k Int you should be able to safely destroy him in about 5 sec by simply pre-casting max Icestorms near him before he even goes active. Pop the Granite and anti-freeze just before he activates and you'll be fine. Dodge the green ring or get back to Izaro quickly. He will not be able to 1-shot you with 8.8k ES and flask regardless of his buffs.

But in HC you should never let him live longer than a few sec, and that means he will not get max charges or max +ele (those 2 things require waiting). Charges are by far the biggest buff he can have, so if you don't do anything stupid you should be completely safe.

That's in Uber Lab. Merciless is a joke with your gear.

I'd appreciate some gearing advice please. I play casually when i can but don't get to put in many hours each week. After swapping some gear around, adding Black Sun Crest I've dropped below the resist cap for Cold resist and would appreciate some advice as to where to best go next, ideally dropping my ring in favour of Perandus signet as well. I have about 60c at the moment, so a lot of the expensive upgrades are out of reach to me at the moment.

Finaly found a nice boots. Here's only 1 resist mod, but i don't need more :)

you can and should get a whispering ice staff with 18% inc int for 1-2c.

a crystal belt with int on it would go a long way, but you probably need the res on your current belt and 60c is a kinda tight budget for this upgrade.

your chest could have a lot more ES while having the same or more int, for a cheap price.

Thanks for the feedback! I hadnt even realised my staff could be improved, i will sort that and chest and see how i go.

Also what is the best way to craft Int Crystal Belt, I've looked online but couldnt't find the information. I only have 1 Shrieking Essence of Spite and 2 Wailing Essence of Spite.

How about Call of the Brotherhood for this build? Instead of Damning Paua if +1Curse will be on Astromentis.


I see two pros:
1) Lightning from orbs will cover to cold and then, i guess, to Fire due to AoF.
2) 100% shock from cursing lightning ball and supporting lightning orb.

Is it worth it?

Lol, this ring is a total waste.
1) AoF says we do NOT do non-fire damage, nothing to be converted.
2) Call of the Brotherhood: 100% chance to shock against FROZEN enemies. How are u going to freeze them (especially considering that we are using EF)? :P
