With the 3.0 Double Dipping Changes, this Build is (sadly) dead, right?

" Umm... no? This build doesn't use the Double Dipping that's getting nerfed. The main change that affects this build in 3.0 is that you can't insta-leech ES anymore. So the ES version of the build will be dead indeed. But there is a new Life/MoM version that's being tested right now. |

Man idk, I LOVE this build, I've been using Whispering Ice as my starter for the past 3 seasons. But man, idk how you can pull it out of this rut.
I haven't put in the effort to try and find a workaround, but that's only because to me... getting 1500+ int while trying to make a life build is about as counterproductive as you can get, IN MY EYES. Not saying at all it can't be done, just here to say good luck to all of you putting in the effort to keep this build a strong starter for 3.0. |

Actually, as a starter this is better than ever. Beginner Life gear is really easy to find. Getting 1500 Int with endgame gear isn't hard either.
The only question is how far you can get with the Life pool you have by the time you are in the 90's. I cleared T16 with 4.5k Life, and that's in 2.6 where the new top Life mods aren't available. I just wish this Beta was closer to the release version. But it's kinda crappy for the purpose of testing the endgame stuff. And some of the changes and new things aren't even in this Beta. I'm frustrated. I'm 2 passive skill points short (on Jeyecie) of what you show on your lvl53 skill tree. I've been back to every town and every vendor and don't see anything missed... Got any ideas? Hiya - very new player here. Love this build and am really enjoying my experience.
I made an error and leveled my Ball Lightning and CWDT gems. Can you answer two things for me? 1) Where can I get a new CWDT gem at level 1? 2) Why does the build require them CWDT to stay at level 1? I understand Ball Lightning level 4 because that is max level that lvl 1 CWDT will work. I believe that this is because CWDT scales poorly and we don't care about the damage from Ball Lightning, only the crit trigger? In this case, higher level CWDT will work, just poorly. Thanks a ton for all the work with this build! |

" Buy a CWDT gem, sell it to a vendor with an orb of regret to make it lvl 1. You keep it lvl 1 because it procs more often. My guides:
