1. Auxium is interesting for this build, our ES doesn't get bonkers out of control like some ES builds (15k ES or something, ours is 6-8k). Without it your freeze duration is based off of life before CI, which is very low because we take no life nodes. The mechanic is "Base freeze duration is 60 milliseconds for every 1% of the target's maximum life (before party scaling) dealt by Cold damage, up to a maximum of 50%. If the duration would be below 0.3 seconds, the freeze effect is not applied."

So the idea is, we don't get frozen because our ES is high enough, however I think (just my opinion) that we still get frozen by the large hits that make things dangerous anyway, and we're better off relying on anti-freeze potions. I'm playing hardcore though, so maybe others have a different opinion.

2. I believe the case is we actually only need level 2 enlighten in a +1 helm, to be able to use the extra aura, though we might be constrained a bit on mana. So you should be fine if you'd prefer an ES helm, though you'll be losing damage because of less int.

3. Icestorm does NOT have a dps tooltip (same as firestorm), it has a damage per instance, because of the random nature of the "explosions". We drop many explosions per second, so your damage on average is significantly higher.

Perfect Auxium gives 90 ES. Maximum ES you can get on Crystal belt is 131. I don't think it's worth it being trigger happy about another deadly status when in some cases you can still die really fast. If only belts could roll int...

Offloading resists from other slots to make gearing easier might be worth it.
