Why Labyrinth Gameplay is Irreparably Broken in Two Words

Such stable servers you have there, GGG, they maintain connection to each other 100%. It's in no way a problem when this happens in lab and costs a run. And why, yes, that is a Flame Sentinel spectre I'm having to abandon there because your own servers don't maintain connection to each other and there's no other way to get out of a daily since portal is disallowed. No inconvenience there, nope, not a bit.

This game just isn't ready for prime time, and sometimes I wonder if it ever will be. Someday... someday... I can dream, right?
People who don't like the Labyrinth are not a minority: Be heard - say you don't like it in your signature. Don't leave complaining about lab to others - GGG needs to see how many people dislike it. Ascendancy must be gated on true ARPG content, not a poorly-crafted internet Legend of Zelda wannabe.
Labyrinth is the most fucked up thing they ever added in PoE. I rather play in a triple Beyond league than this crap.

There was already a huge outcry about the lab when it was first introduced, and Chris Wilson said that it's only by a 'vocal minority', and to add insult to injury, they gave us the uber lab, which is RNG-gated behind those uber-trials, which drop those RNG-gated offerings.

And now, over four months since the introduction of the lab, and so many threads in the forum with angry players complaining about the stupid lab, GGG is still silent on the issue.
I think they have let success gone into their heads and are totally out of touch with how the players feel.

thats the problem with games and their fanboys, devs (not specifically refering to ggg) tends to think that all that they do will be well received and then they come with those psicodelic ideas like labyrinth.

the worst part is for example, people like me that complete labyrinth for the ascendancy points, but hate it, i would play another game instead of do lab, and in their statistic, i'm counted as a "lab lover"

Slaughtered in seconds if you run straight through the traps i.e not dodging/waiting - with no physical mitigation? Well what did you expect?
A build specially built to deal with that specific content has an easier time? What a surprise.

The lab should require a bit of thought and care unless you build specially for it.
I'd like to see more ele damage perhaps to make sure it can't all be trivialized in the same way.
I'd also like to see some different izaro buffs so it's not always the same builds who can always get max keys - how about if you leave him buffed he is incredibly phys resistant and bleed/poison proof - but does less damage, or is less ele resistant.

But it is supposed to be a challenge for most builds, especially the uber lab.

It isn't challenging, especially normal and cruel. It's tedious. It's like mowing the lawn. Just about everyone has the ability to mow the lawn. It doesn't take some special talent or skill. Some people like mowing the lawn, some people see it as a chore that needs to be done for a nice lawn, and some people hate it. I for one would rather mow the lawn for ascendancy points then do the labyrinth.

The thing that isn't sinking in to GGG or the people that enjoy the labyrinth, is it is a vast change in gameplay direction and it's mandatory. I would be fine with them spending all this time creating it, I hate it but it makes others happy which is ultimately a good use of time. Just put in an alternative way to get ascendancy points.

-The labyrinth is in fact a meticulously crafted disconnection meta-game, drawing inspiration from the movie Run Lola Run. It is primarily balanced with statistical models derived from client-server stability data. The player has the option of hurrying to the end (a low but tolerable success rate), or risking it all by taking the time to kill monsters and collect loot (defined as a high risk/reward activity). What could be more heart-pounding during the Izaro engagement than the knowledge that you are statistically likely to have been disconnected 30 seconds ago?

-Since the 2.0.0 patch many players have been finding it challenging to locate de-sync areas on a regular basis. Although several boss fights were spared from the aggressive de-sync fixes, re-introducing reliable access to this feature during normal gameplay allows for a more diverse experience. Traps have the ability to generate their own de-sync without the need for player input, despite travelling on a fixed path at a fixed speed. True and also Labs ONLY make speed meta even more mandatory and more REQUIRED/NEEDED! Its like you can play any build, but they will be at best 10% as effective as speed meta builds.

Bull shit diversify that never was, only inside fans dream.
