How often do you get that lucky drop?

For the purposes of this post, i'm going to say that a lucky drop is worth multiple exe's, What is your experience? in all my years of playing, I found one item worth 2 ex. That item was a claw back when 77 maps where the top lvl(no tiers back then). Certainly have not put in as much time as others, and i have taken long breaks, but i feel like somewhere along the way i should have gotten a massive item that would give me that"i'm rich" feeling.

Am I unlucky, or do have i have too high of expectations?

You are not unlucky, but you do have too high of an expectation.

You ever seen those old people at casino's that don't look happy to be there? They know the grind. They know that they dump $200 to win $210. They still do it. That's basically the experience you will have with this game. The one good thing, is that they can't trade with the casino to win the coins out of the slot machine. We can!

3 times this league. I found a Shavs on my league starter. Then I found a Kaom's on my main build around lv 75. Finally I found a Mjolner last week.

Also I found and Vaal'd a +1 Arrow Drillneck today.

If you want drops to be "valuable", just quit trading. Drops are fine until you start comparing them to what 1000s other players have collectively found.

My luckiest drop ever was worth one exalt. It was an exalt.

This, pretty much. From time to time I find something decent like a 300 ES shield or a 450 ES Vaal Regalia, but that's it.

Got 4 pure exalt this weekend alone dropped while doing 100 gorge runs.

I was thinking about that a few days ago. I've spent a lot of time on PoE and never got anything. Prophecy though I went pretty hard for a casual like myself and I ended up finding a ton of stuff. My only concern if I'm not as lucky next league, it will be really boring, since I was able to buy a few things to try different builds (I sometimes buy but never sell).

For the record, I found 7 ex, my very first 6L drop (ilvl 55 so vendored), a Reach of the Council, every Atziri unique (not that those are worth anything, but they are to someone like me who barely trades and had done Atziri once before the league), like 8 Voltaxic and 2 Kaoms, one which was sacrificed to science.

Why is point to get 1ex item when u can get 50-100 chaos daily by doing uber lab? If u count that Im getting 2-3ex per day average. Loot from prophecy ....



U just need to play game and good team ...
